ITV’s Good Morning Britain took a sad turn during the latest edition as Richard Madeley shared his upset over a previous loss
Good Morning Britain star Richard Madeley has declared, “I’m not ashamed to admit it,” as he opened up about the loss of his pet cat.
The 68-year-old appeared on the latest instalment of the ITV show on Monday morning (April 21) alongside his co-host Ranvir Singh.
During the show, Richard and Ranvir spoke to guest Kellie Watson, who is currently campaigning for tighter regulations on car drivers who accidentally kill cats on the roads.
In the UK, drivers are not required to report incidents involving cats struck by vehicles, as they are currently not mandated under the Road Traffic Act 1988, unlike dogs, horses and livestock.
After losing her 11-month kitten, Martha, Kellie is on a mission to change the laws.
Sharing her sadness after losing her feline friend, Richard used the opportunity to share a sad story of his own, after the loss of his cat, TC.
