Kai Widdrington has gone ‘Instagram official’ with his new partner after reports revealed the Strictly Come Dancing star was dating again following his split from his co-star.

The dancer began dating Nadiya Bychkova in 2022 and split last year, ahead of them both returning to the BBC One dance contest for its 20th anniversary year.

Rumours about the end of their relationship came just six months after they had posed for photos in a glossy magazine shoot. In December 2023 Kai had said: “I just knew Nadiya was The One. She’s the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen, but the real beauty is not just what you see on the outside it’s the person on the inside I fell in love with….”

But back in October, when asked about the break up and if they were friends, professional dancer Nadiya confirmed: “We are not friends”. She elaborated: “We work together but we are not friends and that’s ok.

“One thing I can tell you is that when you see me dancing with him it will be amazing because I’m a professional,” before she declined to comment further on their break up, reports the Mirror.

Now, Kai has revealed he has officially moved on as on Thursday (April 17), he took to Instagram with a loved-up snap alongside his new girlfriend.

In the adorable photo, the BBC star and Chloe Wells could be seen out in a bar and were looking at one another while sharing a sweet giggle. “Happiness is underrated,” Kai captioned the post, with Chloe quick to respond simply with a red heart emoji in the comments section.

Kai’s Strictly co-stars and fans were also keen to respond to the update. Tasha Ghouri said: “Sooo happy for you!!!” Jowita Przystal, meanwhile, simply posted a single love heart eyes emoji. Lauren Oakley also typed: “Cuties!”
