A nice nod to the past…
The big ballyhoo Wednesday was DC’s extremely welcome announcement of the Superman Treasury Edition 2025: Hero For All — the publisher’s first all-new treasury in decades.
You can get the full rundown over here, but there was another bit of news that popped out that you might have missed: DC is bringing back old-school corner boxes for its Summer of Superman publishing initiative.
Dig these five, illustrated by Superman artist Dan Mora — perhaps DC’s biggest artistic gun right now:

Superman breaking futuristic dark energy chains for Superman; Superman breaking Kryptonite chains for Superman Unlimited; Superboy breaking metal chains for Action Comics; Supergirl breaking metal chains for Supergirl; and Krypto breaking his leash for Krypto: The Last Dog of Krypton.
The boxes will appear first on Supergirl #1 (May 14), Superman Unlimited #1 (May 21), Superman #26 (May 28), Action Comics #1087 (June 11) and Krypto: The Last Dog of Krypton #1 (June 18).
Will they stick around after the Summer of Superman? Will they ultimately come back on other titles? No idea. But it’d be cool!
Don’t forget: Friday is Superman Day, timed to April 18, 1938’s release of Action Comics #1. (There will be a bunch of Superman specials for sale that day at your comics shop, as well as freebies.)
Plus, make sure you come back to 13th Dimension at noon today for more Super-news. (UPDATED: Here it is!)
And on Friday, we’ll have an EXCLUSIVE for you that you’ll definitely dig.
