Summer is just a few weeks away and fashion fans will no doubt be already starting to wear their favourite lightweight dresses and skirts. Of course, the temperature is still a little bit too cold to commit to sandals just yet – which is why styling your favourite warm weather staples with a pair of chunky black boots is a good option.

If your winter boots are looking a bit worse for wear, or you just want to add a new pair into your collection, its worth heading over to Boden. The fashion retailer has slashed the price of a pair of gorgeous leather boots by a massive 65%.

Once £170. shoppers can pick up the Harness Detail Biker Boots with a saving of £110. That brings the price down to £59.50.

The boots, which are crafted from responsibly sourced leather, feature a classic biker silhouette with a twist. Available in sizes 36 to 42 (UK 3.5 to nine), they feature a heel height of just under two inches, gold hardware and white stitching across the base of the shoe.

Boden’s Harness Detail Biker Boots boast an overall star-rating of 4.7 out of five based on 10 reviews. One satisfied shopper said: “Gorgeous boots. The colour goes with everything and there is enough of a heel without them becoming too high for all day use. Even better, they were a sale bargain.”

A second wrote: “Gorgeous boots, nice detail and good quality metal buckles. Looks great with everything. I love them.”

Somebody else said: “I would say these are true to size. I’m a 6 and the 39 are just right. I wanted a biker style boot but am probably a bit old to really pull them off but took a gamble and must say I’m really pleased.

“As expected they are beautifully made and stitched. I bought them in the black leather. The only things I might have changed is the flat bit at the back of the heel, it might have looked better rounded as these sort of heels normally are. Not a big deal though, I’m still very happy with them.”

One shopper, however, gave the Harness Detail Biker Boots a three-star review because they ‘were big around the ankles’. It reads: “Reasonable quality boots but were quite big around the ankles and looked silly on me. Sadly I had to return them.”

But another loved their latest Boden purchase, adding: “I am size 41-42 feet medium to narrow. The 41 fits me well so I would say is consistent to Boden shoe sizes. I like the lowish block heel.

“I had my eye in the flat tan boots but those sold out so I gave these a go and they are comfortable to walk in. They bridge the gap nicely for work days when I can wear mufti and family meals out when wearing a pair of jeans. The tan colour seems to be wearing in nicely and I’ve had a couple of compliments on them.”

Elsewhere, Dr Marten’s 1460 Smooth Leather Lace Up Boots are available in a range of colours, including black, for £170. For a more budget-friendly option, Marks and Spencer has reduced the price of the Leather Chunky Buckle Block Heel Boots, now £75 down from £150.
