Sam Thompson has been flooded with compliments and support as he took to social media with a new update in which he appeared to be looking different to some.

The podcast, radio and TV host took to Instagram with a ‘photo dump’ as he posted a string of snaps which gave a glimpse at what he’s been up to lately.

One of the photos showed him cuddling one of his beloved cats, which he shared with ex-girlfriend Zara McDermott, as well as alongside his best pal and Staying Relevant podcast co-host Pete Wicks.

He was also seen spending time with his sister and fellow former Made in Chelsea star Louise and Sam didn’t shy away from sharing a number of selfies with his loyal following.

And it was those images that quickly caught fans’ attention as they rushed to comment on the post which he simply captioned with a smiley face emoji.

It comes after Sam said he was going through ‘a bit of a crisis’ as he was seen executing what he described as a ‘glow-up’ following his split from Zara.

The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here winner split from his girlfriend at the end of last year after five years together. Zara has since been seen throwing herself into work with a number of new documentaries while Sam has been keeping busy with his radio show, podcast and other projects.

But Sam has recently been heard seeking guidance from relationship expert and Celebs Go Dating star Paul Brunson as he was drafted in to help him co-host the latest episode of Staying Relevant in co-host and best pal Pete Wicks’ absence.

Urging Paul to counsel him through his breakup, Sam began: “I went through a breakup and everyone keeps saying they can see sadness behind the eyes.”

He admitted: “I’m terrified about where I am going, Paul. The way I see it, I am a plane and the pilot has passed out in the cockpit and they are like,’ “Does anyone know how to fly a plane?'”

But Sam was seemingly seen to be cracking on with single life and decided that a slight change to his appearance was the answer and in a new clip shared from the Staying Relevant Instagram page, the 32-year-old was seen getting his ear pierced.

“I’m going to be a new man,” Sam is heard saying as he led to the room where he’d be having his piercing done. “We’re having a glow-up,” he than said before the person filming asked if they “had many 32-year-old men” go in to have their ear pierced.

“I’m going through a bit of a crisis at the momet, of the midlife kind,” Sam went on before saying: “I can’t wait to show Pete!” He then loved the first piercing so much he decided to get his other ear done too.
