Katya Jones has been flooded with messages from her Strictly Come Dancing co-stars and fans as she went it alone with her latest cover shoot and interview as she shared an update on her love life.

The professional dancer took to social media to share a behind-the-scenes look at her recent photoshoot as she took to the cover of Fabulous magazine over the weekend.

Sharing a glimpse of her black swan-inspired attire as she posed up a glamourous storm in front of the camera, Katya shared on Instagram: “A massive thank you to the team behind this shoot:

“My girl Holly Louise Davies – Make Up – (@hollylouisehmua). You are the best. Dino Pereira – Hair (@dinopereirahair) and Lynne McKenna – Styling (@lynnemckennastyles) so lovely to meet you . You were a dream. @weareborne thank you for making this happen. The @Fabulousmag team…”

And the comments quickly came flooding in. Strictly co-star Carlos Gu cheered: “Yas girl!!!” Dianne Buswell replied: “Stunning,” while Johannes Radebe and Helen Skelton flooded their posts with flame emojis. Karen Hauer gushed: “You look incredible.”

@kellyallen01 posted: “You are incredible.” @rhiannon_dv said: “You look absolutely stunning Katya.”

@graham.bailey35 shared: “So beautiful.”

@sharon_lesleyrussell34 added: “Bendy goddess.”

After getting plenty of support for her new photoshoot and interview, as well as her confirmed return to Strictly for 2025, Katya was keen to share her thanks.

Resharing a video from a fan with a message which read: “@katyajones your smile always lights up any room [red heart emoju],” Katya wrote on her Instagram Story: “I adore my fans. Thank you. Always.”

In her interview with The Sun’s Fabulous mag, Katya opened up about being unlucky in love: “Men never approach me,” she said. “They never slide into my DMs.”

She admitted to being afraid that men are “intimidated” by her, and while she’s been happily single since her split with ex-husband and fellow Strictly star Neil Jones, she’s beginning too feel that she needs someone in her life again.

Katya said: “I’ve been happy on my own 100%, but I’m really ready to meet someone now. I have so much love to give and I would love to share it.”

But the Russian-born star admitted that being on one of the biggest shows in the country does make modern dating slightly more difficult. “Unfortunately, being in the public eye has hurdles, too, so I can’t really go on normal dating apps,” she said. “Of course I’ve tried [celebrity dating app] Raya, but I think I need a friend of a friend. I’m open to it.”
