Viewers of tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent said the winner has already been decided after an opera singer’s performance left them with ‘goosebumps’.

After being rejected by the opera world, Jasmine Rice hopes to carve out her own path.

The New York native certainly made a significant step forward on that path during this evening’s episode as the glamorous drag queen blew the four judges away with her exceptional vocal ability during a rendition of Nessun Dorma.

Opening up about the lack of acceptance she’s faced in the music industry, Jasmine told the crowd after her performance: “I was getting a lot of rejection because of how I presented myself?

“Especially in the opera world. Being feminine and fierce was not really taken with embrace.”

Some have been saying Jasmine Rice has already won this season of the much-loved show.

Calling her “special”, judge Simon Cowell reassured her: “I have to tell you the opera world can be really snobby. You have found your home (here).”

Fellow-judge Bruno Toniali was left wiping away tears after her breathtaking showing and, judging by the posts on X, formerly Twitter, he wasn’t the only one.

@Clarejs85 wrote: “Jasmine actually giving me goosebumps!”, while @GinaLouLoves commented: “Wow this opera singer is phenomenal.”

@brizzlesean posted: “Say what you like about the appearance, that’s a hell of a voice,” while @RhysThomson5 said: “Bet that’s the winner of BGT.”

Several people also rushed to the Britain’s Got Talent YouTube account to rewatch the person, with one person commenting: “Pure talent, go Jasmine!”.

Another with the handle @Zedhimself wrote: “Golden buzzer material. The vocals gave me goosebumps.”

Also on the show, Bucket from Taiwan played Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody using rubber chickens.

The 39-year-old received three red buzzers but still got through to the next round.

Britain’s Got Talent airs on ITV1 at 7pm on Saturdays.
