Quick overview:
Michael Brock has been given a life sentence after targeting two men and two women in a vicious attack
A violent rapist has been jailed after a vicious attack which left two men in hospital.
Michael Brock has been given a life sentence with a minimum term of 22 years after being found guilty of three counts of attempted murder, rape, and threats to kill.
The evening of July 28. 2023. began like any other Friday when two women, one of whom was known to Brock, went to enjoy a night out. They returned home with two men, who they had met on July 29.
Shortly afterwards one of the women received a message on Facebook from someone called ‘Mike David’. They suspected it was Brock, who had a restraining order against one of the women.

Unfortunately, their suspicions were proven to be true when Brock arrived at the property where the group had spent the night.
CCTV showed Brock carrying a rucksack. Its chilling contents included a hammer, a knife, a foldable saw, a lighter, and rags soaked in accelerant.
Investigations revealed that he had gone to the property to attempt to kill one of the women.
When he entered and saw the two other men there, Brock viciously attacked them in the kitchen, inflicting serious and life-threatening knife injuries.
One of the men also suffered a fractured skull and had to spend a significant amount of time recovering in hospital.
The terrified women were able to escape and ran barefoot to Harpurhey Police Station where they reported the attack, assisted by members of the public who called 999.
Some officers spoke to the women at the police station while others were sent to the property.
Upon arrival they found Brock had been restrained by the two male victims, who were covered in blood.
Officers arrested Brock on suspicion of attempted murder.
When officers searched his home address in Moston they found several knives, Propan alcohol, and a petrol cannister, which they believed to have been part of a plot to kill one of the women.
Meanwhile, one of the women revealed to police that Brock had raped her almost three years earlier.
Brock was found guilty of three counts of attempted murder, towards the two men and one of the women, as well as the rape of one of the women who was the target of his attack that day.
He was handed a life sentence with a minimum term of 22 years in custody.
‘They will all never be the same again’
Detective Inspector Natasha Feerick of City of Manchester CID said: “We strongly believe that Brock contacted the woman and arrived at her house in a meticulously planned and callous attempt to kill her, his plan failed when he was greeted with more people in the property than he expected.
“He launched a vicious and sustained attack on the two men who both received serious injuries as a result of Brock’s aggressive behaviour and now have to suffer with the consequences of his actions for life, he has also left the two women involved with mental scars of what happened that morning, and they will all never be the same again.
“It is a testament to the team in our CID who investigated Brock’s actions and the hard work of the officers and staff involved which has meant that Brock will spent a large amount of time behind bars to think of the impact he has had.
“We would also like to commend the bravery of the woman who was subjected to rape by Brock and thank her for supporting this very difficult case through to conclusion.
“We welcome today’s result and hope that it will go some way to allowing those people who have been affected by Brock’s actions to come to terms with what has happened to them and to heal from the horrific experience they have endured.”
