An air ambulance was also scrambled to the scene in Oldham
A Primark store in Greater Manchester was taped off on Monday evening (April 7) after a woman tragically died.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene on Market Place, in Oldham, to reports for the concern for a welfare of an elderly woman.
Witnesses reported seeing the area outside the store being cordoned off by officers and that a woman had fallen ill while inside the store.

An air ambulance was also scrambled to the scene and landed on the nearby car park for the Sainsbury’s supermarket as paramedics from the North West Ambulance Service also attended.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed an elderly woman, whose age was not confirmed, suffered a medical episode. She was later tragically pronounced dead. No further details have been released.
A cordon remained in place while emergency crews responded to the incident. There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.
