An investigation is underway after a dog ‘attacked’ a horse and its owner on a Trafford field.
Police are urging witnesses to come forward following an incident in Broadheath, Altrincham, last Wednesday (April 2).
Greater Manchester Police says it received reports of an attack by a dog on a field facing Sinderland Road at around 7pm that evening.
The force has today (April 7) issued two images showing a black dog as part of its investigation.
Officers are urging anyone with information about what happened to come forward as soon as possible.
A GMP Trafford spokesperson said: “We are appealing for information following reports of a horse and its owner being attacked by a dog on a field facing Sinderland Road, Broadheath on April 2, 2025, at around 7pm.
“Any info? Call 101 quoting log 3240 of April 2, 2025, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
