This week the main fear of these elections has begun to crystallize and that the opposition warned throughout the legislative debate that took place last year: that organized crime takes advantage of the popular vote to introduce judges and magistrates friends in the courts, a turn that also tension the nexus with the White House of Donald Trump.
The warning came from an ally of the National Palace. The senator Gerardo Fernández Noroñathat also presides over the upper house, said that among the candidates for judges who will be elected on June 1 there are drug dealers who must be separated from the process.
A little over a month after the election is held, the electoral regulator prepares the opening of a mailbox that will collect citizen complaints related to the profiles of the applicants.

“But if there is any case where it is not to meet the Constitution, since it has any criminal relationship or that it does not have the eight of average required by the Constitution in the degree, because it can be presented and we will see what the court decides,” said Sheinbaum.
