The Sonia Fowler actress is making the most of her time away from the programme
EastEnders legend Natalie Cassidy has taken to social media to bring her fans inside her ‘beautiful’ family holiday days after the actress’ soap exit.
The Sonia Fowler star is adjusting to life away from the BBC soap, with viewers seeing her exit scenes play out on Thursday (April 17).
Viewers were left feeling emotional as Sonia fled to Bali with her sister Bianca Jackson, and daughters Bex and Julia.
Away from the screen, Natalie lives in Hertfordshire with her fiancé Marc Humphreys and their children Joanie, eight, and 14-year-old Eliza, who Natalie had in a previous relationship.
Natalie began dating the BBC cameraman in 2014, with Marc getting down on one knee to propose the following year as Joanie was born a few months later.
Rather than taking it easy, Natalie decided to make the most of her time off by heading to Cornwall with Marc and Joanie.
Taking to her Instagram page, Natalie shared snaps of the scenic location, some of the mouthwatering meals they feasted on and a picture of Marc and Joanie playing an Only Fools and Horses edition of Monopoly.
While the weather might not have lived up to their expectations, Natalie was delighted to report that the family had a trip to remember.
She captioned her post: “A beautiful holiday in Cornwall once again. The rain didn’t matter. Well, a little bit as it was scorching the week before but anyhoo.
“To be with my beautiful family and to switch off (as much as I could) is now so very important. Thank you to @nathanoutlaw for squeezing us in. @fishkitchen was exquisite.
“@bedruthanhotel and @hopeyardpr for the meal on Thursday- so so kind and so chilled and delish. @thebeach_hut for our Good Friday feast and Saturday breakfast.”
Natalie added: “The easiest and yummiest for families. I was so unorganised with my bookings some new friends made the trip a real foodie one so thanks Elliot and Juliet. More pics to follow. Rest is the best. X @camera_marc I love you.”
The comments section of Natalie’s post saw her friends and followers gushing over her Easter break and wishing her and her family well.
@julietsear said: “Fantastic!! So glad you made it to bedruthan!! Looks lovely I can’t wait to go next week!” @nathanoutlaw added: “Glad you had a lovely time. Come back soon.”
@busylizzievintage wrote: “We were there the same time as you. It was so wet but it didn’t stop us having lots of family fun!” @lughnasamoon posted: “A well earnt break! I love Cornwall too.”
@njoythelittlethings27 commented: “We went to Cornwall this Easter too, it was beautiful and one of the best holidays we’ve ever had.” @karenlouisegb stated: “Looks really lovely Nat. Well deserved after your EE send off.”
