Manchester United youngster Victor Musa scored a sensational six goals in 45 minutes on Saturday.

The Under-18s welcomed Leeds to Carrington for an 11:30am kick-off, and forward Musa opened the scoring after just two minutes before looking like a man possessed to score more goals.

Musa scored his brace after seven minutes, netted his hat-trick after 13 minutes and scored another two before the 25-minute marker. The 18-year-old hardly celebrated after scoring his fifth, and MUTV’s commentators sounded shocked as Leeds’ players trudged to the halfway line for the restart.

Jim Thwaites scored a stunning free-kick shortly after Musa’s fifth goal to make it 6-0, and Thwaites then scored another two goals to score his own hat-trick in an extraordinary 45 minutes.

Musa scored his sixth goal of the game on the stroke of half-time, which meant the youngsters had a sensational 9-0 advantage at the interval, and Musa had netted two hat-tricks himself.

The U18s were leading 9-0 at half-time.

“I don’t really know where to start, Manchester United lead by nine goals to nil. The most extraordinary 45 minutes I’ve seen in a long, long time,” said Liam Bradford on MUTV commentary.

“Unbelievable from United in the opening 45 minutes, absolutely fantastic stuff.”

The U18s were knocked out of the FA Youth Cup by Aston Villa earlier in the week, only falling short in the semi-finals on penalties, and they have responded emphatically against Leeds.

Adam Lawrence has an abundance of talent and hopes to win the league again this term, but Manchester City are the challengers for the title and it could go down to the final day of the season.
