Becky Holt, who has spent more than £35,000 on tattoos since her teenage years that now cover around 95% of her body, has performed a U-turn by going against her word
Becky Holt, who is known as “the most tattooed woman in Britain,” has stunned her followers with her latest inking session, despite previously declaring she would not add more designs to her face.
The 37-year old from Poynton, Cheshire, who has spent more than £35,000 on body art covering approximately 95% of her skin, showcased her new addition on Instagram, prompting a wave of surprise among her fans. The renowned alternative model teased her audience anticipating their reactions with a playful message.
“I’m not getting any more face tattoos,” she quipped on Instagram. “Thanks @maisieellistattoos love my little bolt. Had to squeeze something whilst at @uktta [UK Top Tattoo Artists convention in Birmingham on April 12-13].”
During the UK Top Tattoo Artists convention held in Birmingham, Becky shared a video getting inked with a lightning bolt just below her hairline on the left side of her forehead, adjoining a previous tattoo that reads, ‘W can be heroes’.
One of Becky’s 152,000 followers quipped in response: “Imagine going into a tattoo shop and having to really look for an actual gap to fill! Your tattoos are amazing and hats off to the pain threshold!” Another Instagram user joked: “Not me seeing this and saying ‘I thought she said no more face tattoos’ before I read your caption!”
A third person declared: “Oh my God it looks so cute!” While a fourth penned: “Well when there’s a gap it must be filled!” A fifth Instagram user also said: “Cutie tattoo on a gorgeous woman.”
Last year, Becky revealed her passion for ink is far from over. She revealed: “I’ve got lots more tattoos planned; I’m going to start covering up my black and grey sleeve. I just feel like I’ve outgrown it. I’m not mad keen on the design anymore. I don’t regret it, I love the tattoo, I just feel like there’s something better I could put on top.”
And when asked about which of her tattoos was the most painful, Becky, who began her journey with tattoos during her teenage years, shared that an intricate palm design tops the list, a piece so excruciating it required multiple sessions due to the intense pain.
She confided: “It was horrific, the worst tattoo I’ve ever had. It was just so painful. The bit on the callus – at the top of the palm – that was absolutely hideous. Not to mention the thumb, that wasn’t very nice either. The whole hand tattoo was hideous. I didn’t use numbing cream or anything like that. Yet, I did take tramadol which is a very strong painkiller. It just takes the edge off.”
