Netflix phenomenon You is back for its fifth season, but when are the series’ final episodes out and who is in it?
The psychological thriller series based on the novel by Caroline Kepes initially premiered on Lifetime back in 2018.
Starring Gossip Girl’s Penn Badgley, You follows Joe Goldberg, a bookstore manager and serial killer who falls in love and develops an extreme obsession.
After failing to get the ratings Lifetime desired, Netflix snapped up the show’s international rights for its second season and went on to air it globally for the rest of its run.
For the next four seasons, You exploded in popularity as fans watched along to see if Joe would eventually be caught for his evil ways.
A number of big stars have featured on You over the years, including Victoria Pedretti, Jenna Ortega, Lukas Gage and Severances’ Zach Cherry.
Sadly for fans, Netflix announced back in 2023 that the fifth season would serve as You’s final batch of episodes.

The official synopsis of You season 5 reads: “In the epic fifth and final season, Joe Goldberg returns to New York to enjoy his happily ever after… until his perfect life is threatened by the ghosts of his past and his own dark desires.”
With Kate serving as the CEO of the Lockwood Corporation, Joe is seen by the public as her loyal husband, earning him the ‘Prince Charming’ nickname.
Joe and Kate’s pact at the end of season four to help each other do good begins to falter when the killer’s previous misadventures catch up with him.
When is You season 5 out in the UK?
The final season of You will drop on Netflix on Thursday (April 24) at 8am in the UK. All ten episodes of the series will be available to stream instantly.
