Several products have been the subject of recalls this week, including several models of air fryer.
These are the products which are impacted:
Tower Air Fryers
Tower Air Fryers have been recalled as they present a fire risk and may ignite during use due to overheating. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
Only certain models are affected by the recall, and you can see if yours is impacted by checking the model on the appliance rating label.
The product has been recalled from end users.

Affected models manufactured between January 2022 and April 2023 and have been sold at retailers including Argos, B&M Bargains, DID, Poundland, Robert Dyas, Tesco, as well as the Tower Housewares website.
Tower states on their website: “The fault has been deemed low risk by Trading Standards, however the safety and well-being of our customers is our top priority, and we have made the decision to voluntarily recall these models as a precautionary measure.
“Cease use and check whether you own one of the affected Air Fryer models. You can check this by accessing the model number on the appliance rating label.”
Waxing and polishing machine
The product recalled is a waxing and polishing machine sold via Amazon. The product presents a serious risk of fire and electric shock as the transformer is of a poor build quality.
Product name: Machinery – Hand polisher
Product description: The blue orbital polisher is a 12V unbranded cordless product. It is supplied with 2 x 12V Lithium-Ion battery packs and plug in charger.

Risk level: Serious
The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as the transformer was of a poor build quality and did not meet the requirements for creepage and clearance. The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 or the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (Amazon). People who are in possession of the product should stop using it immediately.

Office for Product Safety and Standards urges customers to stop using the product immediately. You should contact the distributor you purchased from to request a refund.
Marks and Spencer PLC Children’s Fisherman’s Coats
Marks and Spencer PLC Children’s Fisherman’s Coats for 0-3 Months and 3-6 Months are being recalled. The product presents a risk of suffocation as it is intended for babies under 6 months and includes a hood.

Marks and Spencer states: “We have identified a potential safety issue with 3 baby coats, T78 4045Y, T78 2032Y, T78 4039Y in the specified sizes 0-3 months, 3-6 Months ONLY.
“As these don’t meet our strict specifications, we’ve taken the precaution of recalling the above specified sizes and request you return them to us immediately via Clothing & Home stores or Customer Services for a full refund.
Aldi Inspired Cuisine Baby Potatoes
The supermarket are urging customers to return the ‘Inspired Cuisine Baby Potatoes with Herbs and Butter’ to stores for a full refund.
The product contains milk which is not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.
