Trisha Goddard has become the second contestant to be eliminated from Celebrity Big Brother after the public voted her out of the house.

The TV presenter went up against Coronation Street’s Jack P Shepherd and EastEnders Patsy Palmer after their fellow housemates put them up for eviction.

While Patsy was hoping that the public would vote her out so she can go back home to her family, Trisha admitted she would be “so sad” if she was to leave.

Earlier on in the show, she told Big Brother she was enjoying the “distractions”, and admitted that coming out of the show would make her think about being “terminal, last wishes”, which was “triggering” for her.

“Thank you for the opportunity to play and have fun, and I wish that everybody who has a life-limiting illness has some opportunity to just to be goofy and silly and play and be childlike and what have you, and feel a kind of mad freedom,” she added.

She revealed in February 2024 that she had been diagnosed in 2022 with stage four breast cancer.

The London-born presenter, who has been an Dancing On Ice contestant, had been treated for breast cancer in March 2008 after a lump was found during a routine mammogram, and recovered.

She hosted her talk show, Trisha, between 1998 and 2005 on ITV, before presenting The Trisha Goddard Show on Channel 5 until 2010.

The first celebrity to be evicted was Conservative MP Michael Fabricant. Shortly after being evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house, Michael told presenters Will Best and AJ Odudu that Trisha has ‘an agenda’ against him.

“She misunderstands how politics is a broad thing and how you can be a left wing Tory and a right wing Labour guy. They overlap…

“I think only one person took it too seriously but anyway,” he said.

It was then Hollywood star Mickey Rourke who was booted out of the house due to his aggressive behaviour towards Love Island star, Chris Hughes.

This came after he had already received a formal warning from Big Brother after making “homophobic comments” towards American singer JoJo Siwa.

Celebrity Big Brother airs on weekdays and Sunday nights at 9pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
