Just 19 children due to start school in 2025 in the borough have not been given a place at one of their three preferences
More than nine out of 10 Bury parents will be sending their child to their first choice of primary school come the autumn.
And 99 per cent have been offered a place for their child at one of their three preferred choice schools.
That means just 19 children out of a total of 1,970 applications could not be offered a school of preference.
Those youngsters have been offered an alternative school.
Bury council said emails were being sent today (April 16), to all parents who applied online, and letters sent to other applicants.
Coun Lucy Smith, cabinet member for children and young people, said: “It is great news that so many parents are getting a place for their child at their choice of school.
“Parents who are happy with their child’s school are essential in giving their young sons and daughters the best possible start on their formal education path.”
For reception allocations at primary school in Bury for September 2025 the authority received 1,970 applications from Bury residents.
All Bury children have been allocated a school place.
1,866 families received a first preference offers (94.7pc, up from 93.4pc last year).
Second preference offers were given to 72 children (3.7pc, down from 4.8pc) while 13 youngster were given third preference offers
Only 19 (0.9pc) applications could not be offered a school of preference.
