Her celebrity followers and fans have rushed to offer their love and support to the Loose Women star and her family

Stacey Solomon has responded to fans after sharing a heartbreaking piece of family news and admitting that they were ‘praying’ for the best outcome.

The Loose Women star is often giving her millions of followers glimpses into her family life on social media and her latest update sparked an outpouring of love as she revealed one of her beloved dogs was unwell.

Sharing pictures of her cuddling pet pooch Teddy, who had canulars wrapped in bandages in his leg, Stacey informed her 6.1 million followers: ” Our darling Teddy. Teddy became suddenly unwell on Thursday.

“It turns out he has a predisposed condition we had no idea about as he was a rescue. He has been operated on by incredible vets and the next 3-4 days are crucial for him to get through, even then, he might not ever fully recover.

“We are praying and hoping so hard that he pulls through & that we can care for him in the best way we possibly can to give him the best life he can have.

“We are all truly devastated. He is the sweetest, most protective, loving dog. He’s our family. And far too young to be going through this. We love you Ted. So so much. Pickle cottage is far too quiet without you. I miss my toilet buddy. Peanut is so sad without his best friend.”

The messages of love and support quickly came flooding in. The One Show host Alex Jones said: “Sending so much love and thinking of you all.” This Morning’s Kate Lawler shared: “Oh no Stacey I’m so sorry to see this. Sending huge amounts of love to you all, wishing Teddy a full recovery and hoping he’s back in your arms as soon as possible. It’s so heartbreaking when they’re extremely poorly you just feel helpless.”

Former EastEnders star Shona McGarty replied: “Oh Stace. I’m sorry. Theres not a more horrible feeling. Sending love to you all and of course little Ted x Shone x.” Strictly Come Dancing pro Karen Hauer posted: “Sending love.”

@homeof_jy wrote: “Sending all our love and prayers to Teddy. Get well soon boy.” @pinks100 commented: “Oh Stacey, I’m so sorry. Sending so much love to you all and hoping Teddy has a full recovery. Come on Teddy we are rooting for you.”

Stacey has since responded to the comments as she posted her own, reading: “Thank you for your lovely messages,” as fans continued to wait for an update on Teddy’s condition.

It comes after Stacey welcomed ‘new life’ into her family and Pickle Cottage home. The mum-of-five, who is currently opening up her life to the cameras with her husband Joe Swash in their own BBC reality series, took to social media earlier this month to reveal chicks had started to hatch, much to her family’s delight.

Stacey previously told her loyal online following that she was preparing to welcome some new additions who will eventually reside in the sprawling grounds of her and Joe’s beloved family home.

It was then a couple of weeks ago that Stacey confirmed the chicks had begun to arrive. Stacey uploaded an adorable video of her and her children watching the action happen and wrote on Instagram: “New life at pickle cottage… Honestly this has been the most special, core memory building day.

“Our chicks have started to hatch it’s like watching real life magic & I’m so glad we decided to do this. What a special day 4 chicks & counting. Come on babies… Happy Tuesday Everyone… I hope this brightens up your day. Thank you @sams_growingfood for helping us every single step of the way…”
