Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has explained that rotation is partly responsible for Harry Amass’ full debut in the Premier League this afternoon.

Amass is considered to be one of the better prospects in the United academy at present and has been involved in several matchday squads this season. Against Leicester City, the 18-year-old featured for 21 minutes but this is the first time he has started for United.

Speaking to MUTV about Amass’ inclusion, Amorim said: “I think he’s doing the right things. He’s training quite well.

“And then when you have situations when you have to rotate some players, they deserve the opportunity, but they have to show. No big pressure on him.

“He knows what to do. He needs to enjoy and it’s a good game for him to feel what it is to play for Manchester United.”
