Quick overview:
Boasting huge performance gains over the last generation of graphics card, the RTX 5060 Ti is expected to sell out fast.
While we thought Nvidia was done announcing new variants of its RTX 50 series graphics cards, it’s gone ahead and dropped the RTX 5060 Ti card at the most affordable price point to date.
But as the top-spec RTX 5090 will set you back almost £2,000, the 5060 Ti comes in at a much less eye-watering £399.99.
This new GPU is the least capable of the line-up, but still an attractive buy for someone building a PC on a budget. While I haven’t had the chance to test it myself, early reviews are positive with PC Gaming site RockPaperShotgun praising its 1440p performance and quoting an average performance uplift of 19% over the previous generation 4060 Ti.
However, many of the review sites caveat their reviews by warning customers to go for the 16GB version of the card if they can. An 8GB version is being sold, but it’s expected to struggle hugely with demanding titles, bottlenecking your brand new graphics card right from day one.
Stock for Nvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti card is already trickling into UK retailers. Here are the best links to check to try and grab one for yourself:
At the time of writing, I can see several models of the RTX 5060 Ti available to purchase on many of the UK retailers listed above. So far, the best deal appears to be with Scan on the MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB VENTUS card, which is being sold at its £399 MSRP without any additional price increase.
Overclockers UK also has that same card for a great price, coming in at £399.95. That’s only available to pre-order right now, but a Gainward model can be picked up immediately for £399.95 too.
Other retailers like Amazon and Currys only have placeholder products in place at the moment with prices listed as thousands of pounds above the asking price. While stock isn’t available to purchase there just yet, keep an eye on them as stock will likely pop up sooner rather than later.
If you are thinking of picking up an RTX 5060 Ti, I’d act fast. Nvidia graphics cards usually sell out extremely quickly with bots mopping up stock where possible to sell on for an inflated price.
Your best bet is to make sure you’re buying from a retailer that already has your payment and shipping information for a speedy checkout. Failing that, make sure you have all that information to hand before you head to checkout.
As mentioned earlier, just make sure you’re picking up a card that has 16GB of VRAM. The 8GB cards are a little cheaper, but the 16GB models will give you a much larger overhead in terms of performance – especially at higher resolutions.
