Here’s what you need to know:
Upgrade your Switch 2 experience ahead of release with official Nintendo accessories
Excitement for the new Nintendo Switch 2 has reached fever pitch with pre-orders for the console already selling out almost instantly at the likes of Argos, Very and Smyths. More retailers are due to put their pre-orders live over the coming days, but it’s safe to say that gamers can’t get their hands on the new hardware soon enough.
It’s not just the console that gamers are looking to shell out for, though. Every new console needs some new games to go alongside it, and Nintendo has an incredible line-up slated for later in the year.
Mario Kart World takes the classic arcade racing formula to an open-world format, with it arriving the same day as the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5. A little over a month later, we’re getting Donkey Kong Bananza, a new 3D platformer that puts the iconic gorilla at the forefront of his first 3D game in over 20 years.
If you’re someone who likes to play the Nintendo Switch in docked mode, you’ll surely benefit from the new Pro controller that’s arriving alongside the Switch 2. With a slightly updated design to accommodate the new C button, plus customisable paddle buttons on the back, it’s a sure-fire way to make your gaming experience even more premium out of the box.
On top of that, there are accessories like carrying cases, micro SD cards and even a dedicated webcam that you can pick up to enhance and accessorize your new console when it first arrives. Better still, pre-orders for these gadgets are already live at a few select UK retailers – including Very.
ShopTo also has all the accessories and games listed, including the Pro Controller for £74.95 and Mario Kart World for the same price. Just be sure to scroll down the page a bit to find them.
There are some retailers to keep an eye on if any fans want to get the Nintendo Switch 2 console. Argos quickly sold out as of now, but Very also opened pre-orders that you might be able to grab – but at the time of writing, they have sold out.
Amazon is also joining Nintendo with invites. You can request an invite to buy the console right here.. Here’s a full list of locations to keep an eye on if you want to purchase the Nintendo Switch 2:
There will be more chances to grab the console until the June 5th release date, so don’t lose hope if you haven’t received an invite or haven’t managed to buy a console yet.
