Michelle Keegan has been flooded with messages as she shared a ‘last’ update about her recent TV return. The actress was back on screens at the start of March, just days before she announced she had given birth to her first child.

Michelle was back on the small screen in the second series of Ten Pound Poms. She headed to Australia back in early 2024 to film season two of the BBC One drama.

The 37-year-old filmed Down Under for her role as Kate Thorne in the show- about Brits who migrated to Australia after World War II. It was revealed during the first season that Michelle’s alter ego Kate had travelled to Australia to retrieve her son Michael (Alastair Bradman).

Michael had been shipped across the world to be adopted by a childless Australian couple as she suffered from postnatal depression – and the star revealed that the harrowing experience was a reality for some parents.

The second season has since told more stories of parenting, family life and complex dynamics as the characters’ drama transcends the difficulties of immigration and also featured the introduction of a new character – an unscrupulous landlord named Benny Bates, played by Marcus Graham.

But as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end and on Sunday night (April 14), Michelle marked the last episode of Ten Pound Poms’ second series airing on BBC One.

Sharing a string of behind the scenes pictures on Instagram with her 7.5 million followers, she said: “Last episode of Ten Pound Poms tonight 8pm BBC1. I loved every moment filming this show here’s a look back on a few memories being on set in Australia.

“If you haven’t watched it yet catch all the episodes from both seasons on @bbciplayer @elevenfilmltd @stanaustralia.” Fans were quick to respond to the update.

Michelle’s TV return came as she welcomed her first child with husband Mark Wright. The couple welcomed their first child into the world in early March.

They then announced their baby girl’s birth a week after she made her safe entrance, confirming her birth date and name to their millions of fans and followers.

Alongside a black and white photo of them holding their newborn’s tiny hand on Instagram, Michelle and Mark told their millions of followers on March 12: “Together we have a new love to share … Our little girl. Palma Elizabeth Wright… 06.03.25.”
