Marks and Spencer is selling a £19.50 pair of chino shorts that go with ‘lots of t-shirts’ and are ‘perfect’ for summer holidays. M&S shoppers have praised the Cotton Rich Tea Dyed Chino Shorts for their comfortable fit that isn’t too ‘snug’ in the heat, and have hailed the quality.

At £19.50, the M&S Collection Cotton Rich Tea Dyed Chino Shorts are budget-friendly enough to snap up multiple colours – of which there are seven to choose from. Shoppers have the choice of Dark Blue, Black, Light Grey, Soft White, Natural, Pink and Green.

The shorts come in sizes 6 to 24. At the time of writing, almost all sizes are in stock in all colours on the Marks and Spencer website HERE.

The classic cotton-rich chino shorts are easy to dress up or down for holidays and sunny days out. They’re cut in a regular fit, with a flattering high-rise waist that fastens with a button and zip for easy wear. Added stretch in the fabric ensures comfort and freedom of movement. For a lower environmental impact, they’re tea-dyed with natural colourants.

Marks and Spencer shoppers in their hundreds have been rushing to snap up the shorts, and they’ve garnered an impressive rating of 4.6 out of five stars, based on 763 reviews. They stack up to The White Stuff’s Hayley Organic Chino Shorts, which are currently 20% off and cost £36 instead of £45. Or Wallis’ Belted Turn Up Chino Shorts, which are £23.40, down from £39 at Debenhams.

One impressed Marks and Spencer shopper gave the M&S Collection Cotton Rich Tea Dyed Chino Shorts a five-star rating, writing: “Nice shorts for my holiday. Good quality and colour.”

A second wrote: “Love these shorts. Beautiful pink colour & will go with lots of t shirts in many colours. I’m a 16-18 but bought the 18 for I don’t like snug shorts in the heat & they are just the fit I wanted. Not washed them yet so can’t report on that but confident they’ll wash well. I’d recommend to a friend & thinking of buying more in different colours. They’re great value for money.”

A third said: “Very nice comfortable shorts and of good quality would recommend them to family and friends.” A fourth added: “Love these shorts so much, I have bought two more. Great value. Great fit. Wash well & keep their shape.”

Less impressed, one shopper gave them three stars due to the roomy fit on the leg, writing: “I so wanted to love these shorts. Looked good on the model but on me were far too wide in the leg. Length and fit elsewhere fine but the leg looked too baggy.”

Another said: “Lovely colour would have given them 5 stars but they are high waisted and I prefer slightly lower on the waist.”

But somebody else said: “The material feels really nice, they’re a good length, good colour range too.”

And another added: “I have bought several of these bermuda shorts over the years as I like a longer leg length. I prefer to turn down the hems. They’re well made and the fit is true to size and flattering. They wash well but they do need ironing.”
