The latest Manchester United news with a social media update shared by out-on-loan forward Marcus Rashford.
Marcus Rashford has received support from five Manchester United players after sending his latest message on social media platform Instagram.
The 27-year-old was largely overlooked by head coach Ruben Amorim – after he replaced Erik ten Hag – and was left out of nearly all United matchday squads from his last game on December 12 until his loan move in February. Since arriving in Birmingham, Rashford has become a key player in Villa’s success under Unai Emery; scoring three goals and providing five assists from 14 matches in all competitions.
Rashford’s improved performances have helped Villa reach the Champions League quarter-finals – where they currently trail Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 after the first leg. The forward was also recently called up to the England squad under new Three Lions manager Thomas Tuchel.
And Rashford has posted a message on social media platform Instagram after Saturday afternoon’s 3-0 win over relegated Southampton in the Premier League.
“Momentum is building,” he said, posted alongside several pictures of him in action against the Saints. Leny Yoro, Lisandro Martinez, Godwill Kukonki, Joe Hugill and Joshua Zirkzee have all liked Rashford’s post.
Amorim has previously stated that Rashford was unable to adapt to the way he wanted to play and train.
“I couldn’t get Marcus to see the way you’re supposed to play football – and to train the way I see it,” Amorim said. “And sometimes you have one player that’s really good with one coach, and the same player with another coach is different.
“I just wish the best to Rashford and to Unai Emery, and they can connect because he’s a very good player.”
