Here’s what you need to know:
Man United drafted a number of youngsters into their training squad on Wednesday morning ahead of the Lyon game in the Europa League.
Ayden Heaven is set to miss Manchester United’s Europa League quarter-final second leg against Lyon.
Heaven returned to the United squad at Newcastle on Sunday after a four-week absence with an ankle injury but club sources say he has suffered a “small setback”.
The 18-year-old was not involved in United’s open training session on Wednesday morning ahead of the return leg against Lyon on Thursday night.
Fellow centre half Matthijs de Ligt was also absent again, having missed the past three matches with a foot injury. Jonny Evans returned to training after a four-month lay-off.
Amad trained separately from the squad as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury. The winger was spotted doing ball-work with a coach on a separate pitch at Carrington.
United could start the same side that drew 2-2 with Lyon last week. Joshua Zirkzee, who suffered a suspected hamstring strain that forced him off in the 4-1 defeat at Newcastle, did not train on Wednesday.
Head coach Ruben Amorim is set to address whether Andre Onana will be recalled after he was rested for the Newcastle match. Noussair Mazraoui, Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro are likely to line up in central defence, with Diogo Dalot and Patrick Dorgu on the wings.
Casemiro is expected to be recalled alongside Manuel Ugarte in midfield, with Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes slated to start as the two playmakers behind striker Rasmus Hojlund.
