Manchester United legend Gary Neville is not appearing on Sky Sports’ Super Sunday this afternoon as he takes on his new job this weekend.

Neville is a regular in the Sky Sports commentary booth on late Sunday afternoons as he gives an insight into the 4:30pm kick-off alongside Peter Drury.

However, viewers in the UK will not be listening to Neville this afternoon because he is in the United States working as a pundit for NBC Sports.

Back in August the broadcaster, who holds the rights for the Premier League in the USA, announced that Neville would be joining them as part of a collaboration between the two networks. Throughout the season, Neville has been providing his insight on both Sky and NBC on Sundays.

Usually, Neville is based in the UK and has provided analysis for NBC via video link. However, on a couple of occasions the former defender has flown over to the United States to be in their studio.

This weekend is one of those occasions. Posting to Instagram earlier today, Neville shared a selfie inside the NBC studio with the caption: “Back in the studio with the NBC Sports team. Join us if you like.”

Neville’s involvement with NBC comes as the former defender has expanded his work into the United States.

This season, as part of The Overlap family, Neville, Jamie Carragher and presenter Rebecca Lowe have started the It’s Called Soccer podcast which focuses on football in the United States while also providing analysis on the Premier League and other divisions.

Carragher, along with Micah Richards and Thierry Henry, have become popular pundits in the United States thanks to their CBS Sports coverage of the Champions League.

Along with Neville’s increased visibility in the States, it has been rumoured that Rio Ferdinand may be joining American coverage at the end of the season having not signed a new contract with TNT Sports yet.
