Detectives are investigating the knife attack on Bradford Road

A man was left seriously injured after being stabbed in a horror attack outside a pub in Manchester on Sunday afternoon (April 13).

Police were called to the incident outside the Bradford Inn, on Bradford Road near Miles Platting, at around 6.50pm to reports of a stabbing.

A man, aged 44, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries from the scene. An area was taped off with blood seen splattered on the ground outside.

Greater Manchester Police said ‘a number of lines of enquiry’ are being followed by detectives who are investigating the attack. No further details were released.

Numerous police vehicles also remained parked outside the pub on Sunday night, with an area cordoned off. GMP said there would be a visible police presence also remaining in the area while enquiries are carried out.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “At around 6:50pm this evening, officers responded to a report of stabbing on Bradford Road in Manchester. A man – aged 44 – was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

“Detectives have launched an investigation, and a police presence will remain in the area while a number of lines of enquiry are being followed.
