But surprisingly, the dream home isn’t in the likes of Bowdon or Hale where you’d usually find multi-million pound properties.

It is in fact in Aspull, Wigan, which has an average house price of £233,843, according to Rightmove.

Up for sale with a guide price of £2,500,000, the detached house sits on Dodds Farm Lane. It is a Grade II listed property dating back to the 16 century, surrounded by a unique moat and set in a secluded plot with a high degree of privacy.
