Danny Jones’ wife Georgia admitted she thinks men and women are ‘wired differently’ on a new podcast released just weeks after her husband was involved in a scandal.

Former Miss England Georgia and McFly singer Danny tied the knot in 2014, but have found themselves in the news recently after McFly star Danny was spotted ‘kissing’ I’m A Celeb campmate Maura Higgins.

Georgia gave her opinion on the differences between men and women on her Mum’s The Word! podcast, which was recorded on Valentine’s Day before the BRIT Awards where the incident between Danny and Maura occurred.

Georgia said: “I do think we’re wired differently as well. So I think women think a certain way and men just don’t think the same way. Which is fine, we are different. So I think that’s the problem, we both need to realise the other one doesn’t think that way.

“I sleep with the bedroom door open, even though the landing light is on for Cooper (their son). It might disturb my sleep, and I want to make sure I definitely hear him if he wakes up. I couldn’t sleep knowing that I might not hear Cooper.”

Georgia has been absent from her podcast since the incident, with her co-host Kelsey Parker – widow of late The Wanted singer Tom Parker – taking the reins instead.

During her first show back she chatted with Matt and Lawrence, co-hosts of the Secret Life of Dads podcast, where she addressed how fathers handle a lack of affection from their children.

Georgia said that communicating a concern in a “jokey” manner can be a “bit of an issue” for dads, as it can be misconstrued by their partners, who might assume they’re “fine.”

She said: “So, we kind of just go, ‘Oh, they’re fine; they’re fine’. You know, we’re the ones that have had the baby, and this comes from no bad place from me, I totally understand.

“Like, I actually don’t think there is enough support for dads, especially in terms of mental health after having babies. But, I dunno, I think because we just think, ‘you’re the strong ones and you’re gonna be okay’, which is a complete misconception of men.”

Danny Jones won the latest series of I’m A Celebrity, where former Love Island contestant was among his campmates.

Danny and Maura reportedly partied until 6am on the night of the BRITs, after a video emerged online that appeared to show the stars kissing.

He addressed the reports two weeks later on his Instagram Story, saying: “Hello everyone. Sorry it’s taken me a while to post this but I’ve taken some time out to be with those closest to me.

“I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately.

“I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding and support. See you all soon, Danny.”
