A man has been arrested
A huge cannabis farm worth over £350k was found hidden above a takeaway by police in Rochdale on Monday morning (April 14).
Officers from Greater Manchester Police raided the property on Reed Hill at around 7.22am on Monday and found 510 cannabis plants – worth around £350k – along with 7kg of bagged dried herbal cannabis, which was valued at an additional £70,000.
Tactical Aid vans were seen parked up outside the premises throughout the morning with the alley cordoned off as the hundreds of cannabis plants were seized.

A man, aged 30, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the cultivation of cannabis and abstracting electricity without authority. He is in police custody to be questioned.
A Rochdale Town Centre Neighbourhood spokesperson said: “This was a sophisticated cannabis farm that would be capable of producing four or five harvest per year.
This would represent a street value of between £1million and £1.75million per annum, should police not have discovered the farm.
“We have got an offender in custody in relation to this offence and the plants have been seized with enquiries ongoing.
