Manchester United will make the trip to the North East on Sunday as they take on Newcastle United in the Premier League.

Ruben Amorim’s side make the trip to Tyneside on the back of Thursday evening’s 2-2 draw away at Lyon in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final.

Despite goals from Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee, errors from goalkeeper Andre Onana allowed Thiago Almada and Rayan Cherki to find the net for the hosts, meaning United failed to come away from their trip to France with a huge win.

They now have a short turnaround as they return to Premier League action against in-form Newcastle on Sunday. United start the weekend in 13th place and have very little left to play for domestically.

But improvements have been made under Amorim and victory away at Newcastle, who have won the Carabao Cup this season and are on course to qualify for next season’s Champions League, would be a major statement of intent ahead of next season.

It is expected to be a raucous atmosphere at St James’ Park but if you haven’t got a ticket in the away end and wish to watch the game at home, Sky Sports are showing it live.

You can take advantage of Sky Sports’ discounted TV bundle to make sure you don’t miss a kick.

The Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle is now £35 and includes more than 1,000 live matches each season across the Premier League, EFL and more.
