Fearne Cotton has revealed that there’s ‘not a scrap of tumour left’ in a candid health update on social media following her recent operation.

The 42-year-old presenter informed her fans in December that she benign tumours had been found on her jawline.

Following an operation to remove the tumours, Fearne has been keeping the public regularly updated on her healing process and recovery.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday (April 17), Fearne shared a selfie from her desk as she opened up about how life is going for her going in recent weeks.

“Started writing one book (which I will finish) but then another idea came to me urgently so I’ve started writing another. It’s flowing. It’s helping me figure things out. It’s leading me down very interesting paths.

“I’m not sure I’ve ever felt more desperate to write a book. Being in this sort of flow is my favourite. Whether it’s writing or painting. More on this book soooon,” she teased.

Sharing images of the ‘purple joy’ that the magnolia growing at her home was, Fearne was seen in her ‘new favourite dress’ for ‘something coming’ on Monday (April 21).

At the end of her post, Fearne revealed that she had undergone an ultrasound earlier in the day as part of her recovery process.

“Im happy to say that I’m healing well post operation and there is not a scrap of tumour left on my parotid gland. Grateful.

“To those of you who sent me messages that have a similar operation coming up I’m sending love for your recovery,” Fearne wrote.

The comments section of Fearne’s post saw her friends and followers commending her honesty when discussing the sensitive topic and wished her well going forward.

Previously appearing on ITV talk show Lorraine, Fearne admitted that she felt ‘weirdly calm’ about her diagnosis.

She explained: “I was very lucky it was benign, it ended up being one tumour and I had to have a few lymph nodes out…

“The tumour had wrapped itself around a nerve that controls all facial expressions. There is a bit of a risk but I felt like I was in really good hands and I knew the risks and I was quite curious about the whole process and interested by it and I just feel very grateful that I have completely recovered.”
