The Dales residents have been trying to outdo each other since Kammy made his debut
Emmerdale stars Mike Parr and Shebz Miah took their characters “feud” online as they made each other laugh on Instagram after Kammy found himself in more trouble with Cain Dingle.
Shebz Miah is the latest newcomer to be welcomed in the village as he takes on the role of Kammy. Introduced to the Dales to “shake things up” in the village as the new resident bad boy.
He first appeared during Tuesday’s (March 18) episode, and made a notable entrance after stealing a quad bike from Moira’s farm, leading to the finger being pointed at Ross.
Sarah Sugden soon had her head turned after she met him on the side of the road with the stolen vehicle, as she offered to fix it for him. This came shortly after Jacob called quits on their relationship as he was struggling to cope after the sudden death of his mum, Leyla Harding.
Upon joining the ITV soap, he admitted: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. Everyone has been so welcoming and I already feel like a part of the family.
“I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better job – the character is such an exciting one to play and Kammy will definitely ruffle a few feathers, but he does have the gift of the gab so although he causes a lot of mischief, I think it will be hard not to like him!”
Since arriving in the Dales, Kammy has had a comedic feud with other bad boy, Ross Barton. He arrived back in the Dales in October last year after a six year hiatus. He was first seen in an unlicensed boxing match with Billy Fletcher.
Ross originally left Emmerdale for a fresh start with Rebecca White to embark on a new life in Liverpool. Prior to his exit, Ross was the victim of an acid attack orchestrated by Debbie Dingle who initially intended to target Joe Tate – who also returned at the end of last year.
However, since his return he appears to have taken on a slightly different role from the notorious bad boy that viewers were expecting.
He struck up a relationship with Steph Miligan, and a friendship with April Windsor as he helped her try and come to terms with the reality of how her mother, Donna Windsor, died.
With Ross and Kammy’s feud adding a breathe of fresh air to the Leeds-based soap with Kammy stealing Kim Tate’s horse and framing Ross for it in recent scenes, it appears the actors are enjoying it too.
On Emmerdale’s official Instagram, posted a still from the scene where Cain confronted Kammy and Sarah after they stole money from the garage. In the scene, Cain said: “Why does he (Kammy) look more constipated than sorry?”
Mike Parr was quick to comment as he joked: “He’s never constipated when Ross is there because he always sh*** himself :)” to which Shebz replied: “How’s the security job going at home farm” followed by a horse emoji as Mike responded with crying laughter emojis.
Actor Shebz also took to his Instagram story to post the scene as he wrote the caption: “Bit tight that” this followed another story where he gave an interview with Inside Soap about Kammy falling for Sarah.
Emmerdale airs on weekdays on ITV1 at 7:30pm and is available to stream on ITVX.
