Nicola helped hide her son’s girlfriend’s body in an industrial site

The latest batch of EastEnders spoilers have revealed that Nicola Mitchell will be ‘ambushed’ as Shireen Bashar’s murder cover up takes centre stage.

It has been a frantic period on the BBC soap, with Sonia Fowler and Bianca Jackson leaving on Thursday night (April 17).

Despite two of the show’s most loved characters saying goodbye to Walford, things won’t be slowing down any time soon.

In scenes that will air on Monday, April 28, Teddy Mitchell demands answers from Nicola about the circumstances of Shireen Bashar’s death.

Harry Mitchell’s girlfriend Shireen mysteriously disappeared before his family moved to Albert Square last year, with fans having to speculate what happened to her for months.

It turned out that Nicola, who lied to Sharon Watts and Zack Hudson that Teddy did it, killed Shireen, with her body buried at an industrial site her husband and Junior Knight are preparing to do construction work at.

The episode will also see Teddy insist that Harry deserves to know the truth, but Nicola is adamant it will send him off the rails, so he reluctantly keeps quiet.

Later, Barney Mitchell figures out that something is going on between his parents and unwittingly gives Nicola pause for thought. Teddy then finds Nicola and orders her to stop as he’s got a plan.

Elsewhere, Avani Nandra-Hart is hanging out with Joel Marshall, which doesn’t impress her dad Ravi Gulati. Her mum Priya Nandra-Hart gets a call from Jack Branning to inform her that the police will not be taking Avani’s complaint forward.

Fearing the impact the news will have on Avani, Priya decides to keep it from her, even asking Amy Branning not to tell her. However, when Amy and Avani get their friendship back on track, the truth comes out.

Heading to the police station to make another complaint, Priya is stopped by Callum Highway when she loses her temper. Back at home, Avani berates the family for keeping the truth from her and storms out.

After weeks of fans shipping them together, Johnny confides in Elaine Peacock that he’d like to have a serious relationship with Felix Baker.

On Tuesday, April 29, Teddy pauses work at the site while he and Nicola do a deal with her henchman Benji. Following the negotiations, Nicola decides to sell Harry’s Barn to pay Benji, but Teddy finds another solution.

Priya and Ravi invite Avani for a takeaway night, but end up agreeing that her friends can come over instead. Later, Amy, Denzel Danes and Nugget Gulati are there when Joel and Tommy Moon arrive with a bottle of vodka and start drinking.

At Harry’s Barn, Priya sees red when Callum and his workmates arrive, and Ravi is forced to intervene when Priya lashes out at them. As the evening wears on, Tommy is humiliated when the boys tease him about his lack of experience with girls with Joel giving him some troubling advice.

As for Johnny, he’s disappointed when he asks Felix out but is rejected as Felix has a date lined up that night.

Wednesday, April 30, will see Nicola incredulous at the way Teddy has handled things and as they navigate a very tricky situation. However, things unravel when Nicola is shockingly ambushed by an intruder while alone at Harry’s Barn.

A hungover Priya faces more anger from Avani, who has heard about her altercation with Callum. Suki advises Priya to take responsibility for her actions, so she apologises to Callum. Little does she know that Avani goes to meet up with her dealer Declan in the café. Declan refuses to give her some weed for free, but Joel steps in to pay for it.

Johnny is pleased to hear Felix’s date was a disappointment, and they agree to have a movie afternoon together. But as Johnny is gearing up to ask Felix about making a go of things as a couple, Elaine, Linda Carter, and the Knight girls crash in.

The final episode of the week on Thursday, May 1, will see Nicola face a reckoning at her wine bar. While Joel goes to find Avani to arrange a get-together so they can share the weed.

Later, Avani is at No.1 with Barney when Joel and Tommy arrive to his dismay. Things go from bad to worse when Joel makes a disparaging comment about Avani when she is out of the room, and Barney calls him out. Joel sneakily convinces Avani that Barney is to blame for the angry situation, and she storms out. Later, Avani and Joel are smoking weed together when he makes a move on her.

The week will conclude with Johnny laying his cards on the table with Felix, but will they be able to make things work?
