The latest batch of EastEnders spoilers have revealed that Sonia Fowler will debate if it’s time to leave Walford.

First joining the show back in 1993, when actress Natalie Cassidy was 10, it was confirmed earlier in the year that the trumpet player would be leaving the BBC soap.

Sonia is stuck in a rut at this moment of time, trying her best to be a good mum to her newborn Julia in the wake of her daughter’s father Reiss Colwell’s recent death, along with having to say goodbye to her former husband Martin Fowler.

On Monday (April 14), Mo and Kim find themselves on the receiving end of Sonia’s wrath after they bring a tour of true-crime fans to her door, who want to know all the details about her evil ex Reiss Colwell.

Blaming Bianca for doing a podcast on the subject, Sonia and her sister are unaware that a man from the tour remains fixated on their home.

After being kicked out of Alfie and Kat’s flat, Sonia is ordered to leave their home as a result of going against her wishes and doing the interview.

With Bex encouraging her mum to be nicer to her aunt, Sonia comes to Bianca’s after she experiences a panic attack in the Square Gardens whilst being accosted by ‘fans’.

Heading to Harry’s Barn for a drink to get past their recent differences, Bianca chases an overzealous fan who is watching them, when his true identity is revealed and he requests an audience with Sonia.

Meanwhile, Jean tries to discipline her granddaughter Lily as poor Stacey is consumed by grief following Martin’s funeral. Lily heads to the Square Gardens to smoke weed with Avani and later resorts to underhand measures when Avani requests payment for the drugs.

Lilly’s actions leave Harvey and Jean stunned, with Bex also learning of what’s really happening. The teenage mum returns home to face the music, but Jean is horrified when she finds weed in her bag and Lily flees.

Following their recent trip to the police station, Amy attempts to reconcile with Avani, who makes it clear she’s not interested before the pair later make amends. The hectic episode will also see Zack seize an opportunity to train his secret son Barney.

On Tuesday (April 15), Sonia reels as a truth comes to light about her past, as Bianca attempts to support her sister. Bianca and Bex leave the house at the request of Sonia, and head to Harry’s Barn where Bianca reveals all to Jack.

Attempting to do the right thing, Jack offers Sonia some words of advice, as she ponders on a decision that could change her life forever. Despite her mum Priya believing she’s turned a corner, Avani secretly picks up weed from dealer Declan before heading to Amy’s party at No.29.

Regretting her decision, Avani bins the drugs, but is stunned when Declan shows up. Initially lying that he’s her friend, Avani reveals the truth to Amy in the hope she’ll call Jack.

After Lilly eventually returns home after running away, she admits to her recent wrongdoings. The episode will also see Zack continue to train Barney as the pair go for a run.

On Wednesday (April 16), Sonia debates whether it’s time to say goodbye to Walford, as Bianca calls upon Kat and Freddie for support. Searching for Stacey, Jean and Harvey reveal to Sonia that she isn’t coping. The close friends later share a warm moment as they support each other in their time of need.

Priya and Ravi continue to worry about Avani and ask Jack to escalate their complaint at the station. The policeman later encourages Priya to get Avani to make a formal complaint. Priya presents the idea to Avani, but she refuses and storms out.

Returning from her holiday to Ibiza, Nicola is shocked to learn that Zack is training their son Barney after she ordered him to stay away from her family.

Elsewhere, Jean steps in to help Nigel after his dementia leads him to confuse the pharmacy for the old video shop he used to work, and takes him home. Phil covers to protect Nigel, but it’s clear Jean isn’t convinced that all is okay.

The final episode of the week on Thursday (April 17) follows Avani’s attempts to avoid Priya as she seeks solace in the laundrette as Yolande tries to get her to open up.

At Harry’s Barn, Nicola warns Zack to keep away from Barney, but he ignores her pleas. Later, Nicola enlists the help of Tommy and Joel who antagonise Barney during his training session, but believing Zack is to blame, Barney flees.

Elsewhere, Jean attempts to reach out to Nigel, but he continues to remain quiet about his dementia diagnosis and dismisses her concerns.

Despite recent heartache for fans, it’s clear that EastEnders has no intentions of slowing down over the coming weeks.
