Coronation Street fans have been left confused as they continue to want answers about a number of missing characters, with some issuing a demand.

It’s been no secret that a number of exits from the cobbles have either happened or are set to take place in the coming weeks and months.

After Corrie icon Helen Worth bowed out of the ITV soap in December after 50 years of playing Gail Platt, it was announced that the character’s frenemy Eileen Grimshaw will also soon be departing the cobbles as actress Sue Cleaver leaves after 25 years.

Paddy Bever was also recently seen in his final scenes as Max Turner, with the teen imprisoned for arson after setting fire to No.8 Coronation Street.

Daisy Midgeley and Craig Tinker’s exits are now set to come next, with Charlotte Jordan and Colson Smith both previously confirming their leaving the long-running show.

But from confirmed exits, fans have started asking about a number of characters’ sudden disappearance from Weatherfield, including Gary Windass, Ken Barlow and Ryan Connor.

They’ve been flocking to social media with @LauraJeanneH writing: “Where has Gary and Maria gone??

“And why has Ken STILL not returned from holiday? #corrie.”

@Sharonimo55 replied: “Hmmmmm #Corrie mysteries. OK, Ken is approx 90, and we don’t want to overwork the actor.

“But Gary & Maria have been AWOL for months. Is there a Bermuda Triangle corner in Weatherfield?”
