Here’s what you need to know:
The presenter has a new role in the pipeline after the ITV show ends
Celebrity Big Brother host Will Best has shared that he’s “unbelievably excited” as he announced his next career move away from television.
On Friday (April 11), Will Best joined Hits Radio Breakfast show hosts Fleur East and James Barr as he revealed that he’ll be joining the team this month.
He’ll be starting the new role on Monday, April 28, straight after Celebrity Big Brother is over, and work streams are already beginning to cross as Fleur joins Will on Big Brother Late & Live on Friday (April 11) with the pair hatching a plan on air to see how many breakfast related words Fleur can get into their chat.
Speaking about his new opportunity, Will shared: “I’ve been wanting to join the 5 am club for a while – all the influencers are doing it aren’t they! I think I’ll cope alright with the early mornings… I’ll just go to bed.
“Honestly, I’m unbelievably excited and the thought that I get to hang out with Fleur and James every day just fills my heart with joy.”
Will is currently co-hosting Celebrity Big Brother alongside AJ Odudu as they welcomed this year’s stars to the brand new location earlier this week.
Coronation Street actor Jack P Shepherd, EastEnders Patsy Palmer, Love Island’s Chris Hughes and American star Mickey Rourke are all contenders in the social experiment.
There’s already been fireworks in the house after Mickey Rourke made upsetting and homophobic comments towards JoJo Siwa, and was given a formal warning that he’ll be evicted if he continues.
Will best previously spoke about Mickey, and shared: “We’ve got to talk a bit about Mickey going in… interestingly, some younger viewers might not really know who Mickey Rourke is.
“He’s 72, so he’s in good shape, but he is going to be, I think he’s going to be a bit of a loose cannon, I think it’ll be interesting to see how the other housemates take him”.
Will recalled: “I mean, he just gave off this aura of like, ‘What am I doing? Where am I?’ We introduced him on the stage. It’s very clear where you go, right?
“There’s a three or four-metre like runway – ‘through the doors Mickey’ – but he managed to get lost. And AJ had to physically shove him in, I thought he was gonna fall over.
“It’s the only time somebody’s been thrown into the Big Brother house instead of getting thrown out, which is what normally happens.”
Tune in to Hits Radio Breakfast with Fleur East, Will and James from Monday 28th April on your DAB digital radio, smart speaker, on the Rayo app or online at hitsradio.co.uk
