Celebrity Big Brother’s Ella Rae Wise broke down in tears on Wednesday (April 9) over her recent breakup with Dan Edgar.
It was recently reported that Ella and Dan were no more as the Towie co-stars put an end to their on-off relationship.
Viewers of the ITV reality show have seen the pairs’ turbulent romance progress since she joined the Towie in 2019, four years after Dan.
On an episode of Big Brother that saw a housemate receive an official warning, JoJo Siwa asked if she has been single for long.
Beginning to cry, former CBBC presenter Angelica Bell said ‘this is fresh’ as she and JoJo attempted to comfort Ella.
Trying to hold back her tears, Ella said: “I knew something wasn’t right… ‘Thank you. It’s just one of them things.
“I just feel like an idiot because everyone… I just knew he wasn’t going to be what I wanted him to be.
“And I thought maybe he might be for me but he just… and I don’t want to waste years trying to change someone. Do you know what I mean?”
Told by Angelica that her attitude shows her ‘strength’, Ella was informed by JoJo that ending relationships is a lot like saying goodbye to your car when it’s time to get a new one.
“Yeah, I just have to let it be. And it doesn’t mean we can’t be friends because we tried,” Ella admitted.
Those watching at home took to X, previously known as Twitter, to praise Ella for her honesty and have their say on her chemistry with Chris Hughes.

Speaking in her opening video package on Monday (April 7), Ella broke the news that she’s no longer in a relationship with Dan.
“I could literally float with a loaf of bread. I could flirt with anything! I’m flirting with the camera,” she teased.
