Angellica Bell was seen in tears ahead of her Celebrity Big Brother exit as she told how she has “found myself again” after her abrupt exit from Martin Lewis’ money show.
During Tuesday night’s (April 22) episode of the ITV reality show, the presenter dicussed leaving The Martin Lewis Money Show back in 2023.
She was seen opening up in the Diary Room in the Celebrity Big Brother house and was emotional as she seemingly discussed her tough time on the show.
After Big Brother asked whether she had a good time ‘banging the pots and pans in the morning’, she said she felt “so good” as it made Donna Preston feel ‘vexed’.
After the light-hearted moment in the confessional, she then became a bit deeper as she told Big Brother: “I’m going to be honest with you, I didn’t think I’d get this far. I’m still pinching myself that I’m here.”
In response, the mysterious voice told Angellica: “Big Brother thinks you’re a great housemate,” which caused her to break down in tears as she’s “not very good at compliments”.
She went on to share: “I’ve loved every minute, it’s probably the best thing I’ve done in a long time. Before I came in here, I was a little bit scared. The press were asking me if I would talk about the Martin Lewis show and stuff, it took me a long time to get over that.
“I was so grateful to all of the audience who messaged me about it, also to other celebrities who contacted me and stuff because those messages are what got me through. That’s why I wanted to come onto this show and tap into my old self because it’s taken me a long time.”
Big Brothe’rs kindness continued as they said: “Angelica, Big Brother thinks you’re doing really well,” to which she answered: “You know what, I think I found myself again being here.”
A clip of her emotional moment was then shared on Big Brother’s Instagram page which prompted support from fans. @brentmp said: “I have loved this lady since CBBC. She’s an icon.” @hannahedmundsx commented: “Love her she’s done amazing.”
@tashhha82 wrote: “She looked lost and I really wanted someone to say what is up on a deeper level to understand how she was feeling. I think she has found her smile again.” @karenverdult added: “You’ve done amazingly Angellica.. kind, funny & just gorgeous!”
Angellica, Ella Rae Wise and Patsy Palmer were later evicted from Celebrity Big Brother ahead of the live final on Friday night (April 25).
Triple Tuesday saw a mass exodus of the housemates, with Chris Hughes and Danny Beard managing to escape getting the chop after being nominated during face-to-face nominations in Monday’s (April 21) episode.
Angellica was the first housemate to exit the house on Tuesday, and admitted she was happy be the fourth evictee as she was “surprised that Big Brother even knew who [she] was.
She added: “To get a place on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ was amazing. The thing is though, with me, I’m very pragmatic and I was like ‘Big Brother, I’m leaving’. I knew it.
“There are some big names in there, big characters who have got huge platforms and who are talented. Who are great, everyone is wonderful.
“So I am happy to just be here. I did not even think I would last this long, so in my eyes I have won this show!”
