One contestant made it clear that they were sad to not be evicted

Viewers have questioned whether a star realises they’re a “national treasure” following the latest eviction from the Celebrity Big Brother house.

During Wednesday’s (April 16) instalment, viewers watched as the Big Brother housemates reacted to Trisha Goddard being the second celeb to leave the competition.

The TV presenter was up against Coronation Street’s Jack P Shepherd and EastEnders Patsy Palmer – who the public decided to save in the vote.

Trisha expressed her disappointment in having to leave, as she mentioned it was a “respite” and “distraction” from her cancer diagnosis.

After bidding farewell to Trisha, Patsy expressed her disappointment in not being the one going home, as she hoped the public would see how much she wants to be back with her children.

“Sorry, I do love you all so much but I just, I am… I was ready,” she said.

Pop star JoJo Siwa then told comedian Donna Preston about why she thinks Trisha going out may have hit the house harder than if were one of Patsy or Jack.

“I think I feel sad ‘cause I think she was the only one that cared. The result, I think she’s the only one that really hoped it didn’t go that way, you know what I mean? I think Patsy wanted it to go the other way and I think Jack doesn’t care,” she claimed.

After spending the whole day waiting on Trisha as part of a her prize, Chesney Hawkes said: “Well I have no one to wait on now. I guess Trisha’s gone, my lady has moved on to another household.

“Obviously, I am a little bit sad that I may have had a little part to play in her being evicted and she’s going to know about that, and it might upset her a little bit. But I hope she knows I think she’s wonderful…

Anytime anyone’s taken out of a really great group, you feel the hole. So we’ll definitely, all of us will miss her for sure.”

Former CBBC presenter Angellica Bell also noticed how Patsy was feeling, and entered the diary room to chat to Big Brother.

“Patsy, I’m not sure if she wants to be here but if you’re gonna be here, everyone wants their spot, so hopefully she can just enjoy the next few days before we have to go through nominations again,” she stated.

Fans took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to discuss Patsy wanting to leave. @98kltk wrote: “Does Patsy not realise what a national treasure she is, soap fans go hard when you’ve served us the iconic Bianca”

@blhtrixya added: “trisha wanted that opportunity so much and for patsy to be like im gutted i wanted to leave is just a bit ??? u knew you’d be away from ur kids when u signed up for this like you’ve been away most of the year, another couple weeks won’t hurt???” as @Randxme_ commented: “To be fair Patsy has had the hardest time in the house, so I can understand why she wants to leave”.
