Viewers were left repulsed with the star’s actions

Celebrity Big Brother has faced even more complaints this series after viewers were left feeling disgusted over Chris Hughes’ behaviour.

During Friday’s (18th April) instalment, the ITV show tasked some of the housemates to dress up as giant cats and act that way for the remainder of the challenge.

However, the show has since been slammed after receiving 125 Ofcom complaints as they aired a clip of Chris weeing into the cat litter tray in the bathroom.

When the clip was shown on Late and Live, AJ could be heard saying: “Disgusting!” Chris asked JoJo to stand in front of the door, saying to her: “Can you block the door?” before adding: “Don’t tell anyone I’ve weed though.”

The Love Island star narrowly escaped a three-person eviction after EastEnders Patsy Palmer, The Only Way is Essex’s Ella Rae Wise and former CBBC presenter Angellica Bell were all booted out of the Big Brother house.

He’s come under some criticism while on the show, with fellow housemates and viewers questioning his close friendship with American star JoJo Siwa.

Defending the bond, Chris shared: “I’m literally in here, I’m just living, I’m just being me. I had toxic stuff and I had bad energy, it just brings you down,

“Does Daley think I’ve become friends with certain people in here to benefit? Daley would be referring to mine and JoJo’s friendship. I’m fine with that. I know that mine and JoJo’s friendship is genuine.

“I’m fine with other people looking at it from that perspective. When you’ve been somewhere for two weeks, naturally you’re going to gravitate towards people. That’s just life.”

He also admitted: “If she left the house ever and I’d be stuck in here that would genuinely be crushed. I guess she’s like my person in here. When you walk into a party you don’t know anyone, there’s someone you want to see in the room that makes you want to feel at ease,

“It makes me feel happy it makes me feel comfortable and it allows me to be me, it really brings out me, I like me, I like being me and I’ll always be me and it takes someone to get you. We’re like two peas in a pod.”

After her eviction, Ella shared with AJ Odudu and Will Best that she was worried for JoJo, labelling Chris as a “latch on”. She said: “I don’t think I was bothered, I think I can spot someone when they know what they’re doing and that they know what they’re going to gain from someone. JoJo’s a young girl and being in the industry I know about ‘latch ons’ and when someone’s trying to gain something from someone.”

Asked about the sincerity of the friendship, Ella said: “As time goes by it’s hard to say that it isn’t genuine because at the end of the day I wasn’t in both their pockets.”

She then added: “And they were in each other’s beds every now and then apparently!”
