Celebrity Big Brother fans have said that an unlikely friendship was ‘not on their bingo cards’ following the second episode of the reality show.

13 celebrities joined the ITV programme on Monday night (April 7) as they locked themselves in a house for up to three weeks,

Among this year’s crop of housemates is Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd, EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer and Olympian Daley Thompson.

With the celebrities coming from various backgrounds, two celebrities who have already made a close bond is drag queen Danny Beard and former Conservative MP Sir Michael Fabricant.

On Tuesday’s episode (April 8), set in the hours after they moved into the Big Brother house, Danny and Michael had some banter as they explored their new garden.

Talking about the sunken hot tub, Michael said to Jojo Siwa, “I’m trying to figure out whether you sit on that or what.”

Jojo cheekily responded: “If you want a good time, sit on it…”

Danny erupted into laughter and said to Michael: “You’re filthy. I mean I’m filthy, but I feel like I get away with it but maybe I don’t, maybe I don’t.”

Michael put down being open with his personality to ‘feeling free’ now that he’s no longer involved in UK politics.

He explained: “Yeah, not being an MP, yeah. I can be myself. I was pretty much myself anyway.”

In a candid moment, Danny said ‘that’s all he can be’ and admitted that they ‘really connected’ with him in spite of ‘the Tory thing’.

“You know what I think I’m dead open minded, but actually maybe I came in here with f***ing prejudice cause I thought I probably won’t get on with him but you’ve been dead funny,” Danny said.

Those watching at home took to X, previously known as Twitter, to have their say on the two worlds colliding.
