JoJo admitted that she didn’t know who the famous twins are

Celebrity Big Brother fans were left ‘crying’ over JoJo Siwa’s claims about X Factor legends Jedward on the ITV reality show.

Identical twins John and Edward Grimes rose to fame on the sixth season of The X Factor in 2009, where they were managed by Louis Walsh.

Following their time on the singing competition, the popular Irish natives went on to appear on the Channel 5 version of Celebrity Big Brother twice.

First appearing on Celebrity Big Brother in 2011, the duo finished second to the late Sarah Harding when they entered the house in 2017.

On Wednesday night (April 23), former Dance Moms star JoJo entered the diary room to express her frustration with drag queen Danny Beard after he called her out over giving him her killer nomination.

“I was a little uncomfortable with the talking stick, I think Danny is trying to get a rise out of me. Considering he called us juggernauts, what did he call us yesterday? Jedwards. That’s shady,” she said.

Asked if Chris Hughes explained to her who Jedward were, JoJo replied: “He just said that they were twins who are annoying.”

With Big Brother informing JoJo that Jedward are ‘Celebrity Big Brother alumni’, many fans noticed that she has met the twins before.

Sharing an image of them and JoJo at a festival in June last year, Jedward wrote: “Jedward and Jojo Siwa! Living our best life full of Jepic vibes.”

Those watching the episode at home rushed to X, previously known as Twitter, to have their say on the moment of confusion.

Sharing a clip of Freddies on The Traiters being caught out in a lie, @i_got_a_9_in_ft said: “Jedward after Jojo said she has no idea who they are (she’s met them).” @mixersFLO added: “Jojo not knowing who jedward are when she has a picture with them is taking me out.”

@l0ttiehall wrote: “Crying at Jojo having no idea who Jedward are when she has fully MET THEM and taken pictures with them.” @tiger_brooke posted: “JoJo being COMPLETELY oblivious to jedward despite the fact she’s actually met them before ahahaha.”

@hollycornwellx commented: “JoJo said she doesn’t know who jedward are….what??? she’s literally met them.” @HevLou12 stated: “People saying ‘Jojo has lied about not knowing who Jedward are’ she’s probably just forgot. The amount of people she’s probably met whilst doing shows.”

Jedward later took a swipe at former Love Island star Chris for calling them ‘annoying’ with a brutal post on X.

They wrote: “It’s wild Chris said what he said cuz he’s all over Jojo who is the girl version of us! We didn’t know who Chris was until Gemma Collins told us #cbb.”
