Celebrity Big Brother has given Mickey Rourke a ‘formal warning’ over ‘unacceptable language’ used by the Oscar nominee.

The star of The Wrestler and Iron Man 2 was a shock inclusion in ITV’s second edition of the celebrity version of the long-running reality show.

Viewers have so far seen Mickey attempt to give Love Island’s Chris Hughes a scooter and choose to sleep on the sofa rather than in a bed in the house.

In scenes that will air on Wednesday night (April 9), Mickey asks JoJo Siwa ‘where’s smoke room’ before questioning if the 21-year-old singer ‘likes girls or boys’.

“Me? Girls. My partner is non-binary,” JoJo said.

Mickey replied to JoJo: “If I stay longer than four days, you won’t be gay anymore.”

The singer and former Dance Moms star then told Mickey she ‘can guarantee she’ll still be gay’ and ‘still be in a very happy relationship’ when leaving the show.

Later in the garden, Mickey asked Chris if everyone has to vote one another out of the house and told him that he is ‘going to vote the lesbian out real quick’.

Overhearing the conversation, JoJo responded: “That’s homophobic, if that was your reasoning.”

With Chris telling Mickey he ‘can’t do that’, the 72-year-old said he ‘needs a *** [another name for a cigarette], before telling JoJo he wasn’t ‘talking’ to her.

Once again, Chris told Mickey that he ‘can’t say that’, to which he replied that he was ‘talking about a cigarette’.

Shortly after the exchange, Mickey was called to the Diary Room by Big Brother, who informed him that he broke the rules.

Big Brother said: “Mickey before you entered the Big Brother house the rules regarding unacceptable language and behaviour were explained to you.”

Reading the exchange back to him, Big Brother continued: “Mickey, do you understand how this language could be offensive to your Housemates or the viewing public?”

Mickey replied: “Yeah I think so. If I was saying it in a nasty kind of way or if I truly meant it.”

After being told that Big Brother thinks his ‘language was offensive and unacceptable’, Mickey admitted he ‘can understand that’.

“As a result, Big Brother is giving you a formal warning. Further language or behaviour of this nature could lead to you being removed from the Big Brother house. Mickey, do you understand,” they said.

Calling it ‘serious stuff’, Mickey added: “I apologise. I don’t have dishonourable intentions – I’m just talking smack you know.

“I wasn’t taking it all so serious. I didn’t mean in it any bad intentions and if I did, sorry.”

Celebrity Big Brother airs at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
