It will help the Royal Horticultural Society with their scientific research
Not everyone in the UK has the luxury of a garden, and some don’t have the space for a real lawn.
And there are others who simply don’t want the hassle of maintaining real grass. So many opt for artificial lawns instead.
If that is you, then you could be in with a chance of fetching a £50 prize by spending ten minutes completing an online survey for the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS).
The RHS is a country-wide gardening charity with multiple public gardens across the UK including RHS Bridgewater in Manchester, Harlow Carr in North Yorkshire and Wisley in Surrey.
Founded in 1804, its purpose is to improve the science and practice of horticulture and they offer education opportunities in schools and communities. They also organise major flower shows in the UK including the Chelsea Flower Show and the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.
The RHS multiple community research projects going on currently including its artificial lawn survey. The horticulture charity is conducting research to try and understand why people are choosing to install artificial lawns, how they are being used and maintained and whether they meet people’s expectations.
If you have an artificial lawn, you can take part in the survey and be in with a chance of winning the £50 prize. The questionnaire should only take between five and ten minutes, and can be completed on a computer or mobile device.
All you have to do is follow this link to the survey, consent to being a participant, answer the CAPTCHA question and click ‘next’.
The questions asked by the RHS include whether you would recommend an artificial lawn to others, whether you would buy another artificial lawn, the size of your artificial lawn and what else features in your garden.
You will need to submit some information in order to fit you into a demographic group including your age bracket (eg between 18 and 24 or 25 and 29). Then on the final page of the survey, you can choose whether to put your email address on which will submit you into the draw to win a £50 Love2Shop voucher.
Other RHS surveys currently open to the public includes one called Daffodil Diaries in which you can log daffodil sightings, another survey about how Brits feel about pollinators such as bees, and another where you can log if you have spotted any frogspawn.
You can even turn these nature-spotting surveys into an activity to do with your kids, especially during the school holidays when the sun is shining.
