Quick overview:
Developed through five years of research, it is clinically proven to reduce visible signs of skin damage and 100% of users in clinical trials saw improvements after just 12 weeks of use
This morning Boots launched the No7 Future Renew Night Serum, which is claimed to be its most advanced night-time formulation yet. Boots’ No7 Future Renew Night Serum has been developed through five years of cutting-edge research.
No7 scientists, alongside the University of Manchester, uncovered how skin’s circadian rhythms play a pivotal role in its repair at night. Now the Future Renew Night Serum has been created to optimize this natural cycle.
The serum, which costs £39.95 for a 25ml tube, or £49.95 for 50ml, is designed to sync with your skin’s natural repair cycle while you sleep. It is clinically proven to reduce visible signs of skin damage, 100% of users in clinical trials saw improvements after just 12 weeks of use. There’s a way to get it even cheaper though, as it’s part of a buy 2 get one free offer across No7 products on the Boots website. You can also use the code REVERSE10 to get £10 off selected Future Renew products.

Should you want to, you can deal stack these offers across Future Renew products. I tried adding three 25ml bottles of No7 Future Renew Night Serum to my basket. With the 3 for 2 offer, the price came down to £79.90. I then added the £10 off code, which brought the price down further to £69.90 – working out at £23.30 per bottle, rather than £39.95. You can, of course, add three different products should you wish to maximize your routine, and you can mix and match from across the range.
Trials saw No7 Future Renew Night Serum effectively tackled concerns including fine lines, undereye puffiness, and dark circles. No7 Future Renew Night Serum is formulated with Lindera – an extract that works with your skin’s circadian rhythm to boost overnight repair. It uses No7’s world-first super peptide blend, which is proven to support skin renewal
The patent-pending delivery system promises deep penetration and faster results. The serum joins the award-winning Future Renew range, which continues to lead the skincare world in scientific innovation.
It rivals Dr Barbara Sturm’s Night Serum, which costs £95 for 10ml, but uses extracts from Poria Cocos and Beta-Glucan to help regenerate the skin’s natural barrier function, as well as Cassia Alata Extract which supports the skin’s natural reparative process from UV ray damage. Or L’OCCITANE’s £62 Immortelle Overnight Reset Serum, which uses Gardenia extract to help smooth and improve your skin’s resilience by reducing the impact of environmental stressors such as blue light, and Acmella extract, which relaxes muscle tension and helps to smooth the appearance of fine lines and expressions lines.
While No7 Future Renew Night Serum is new to the Boots website, it’s already garnered an average rating of 4.4 stars out of five from 110 reviewers who tried it ahead of launch. One impressed reviewer wrote: “Nice consistency – not greasy or sticky. A little goes a long way. Waking to smooth skin that feels nourished. Wrinkles have not gone yet, but they are feeling smoother.”
Another said: “This serum sinks into my skin so easily and my skin feels so smooth after application. It isn’t sticky and 2 pumps is enough for my face. It doesn’t have an overwhelming scent and when I use it consistently my skin is noticeably smoother.”
Somebody else commented: “Nice neutral fragrance, lovely texture and easy to apply. Doesn’t feel sticky after application. Skin feels softer and fimer after a weeks application.”
Less impressed by the scent, another awarded it three stars, writing: “Has a cooling, gel like texture. I’m not keen on the scent but skin feels smooth and soft after application. Haven’t noticed any change in fine lines yet but will continue to use.”
But another wrote: “This has a slight fragrance but is not powerful, it’s easy to apply and has left my skin looking much brighter. It’s not greasy and absorbs really well.”
The No7 Future Renew Night Serum joins the existing Future Renew range, which ‘broke the internet’ when it was first launched back in 2023. Upon launch, the Boots website crashed as thousands of people scrambled to get their hands on its first-of-a-kind anti-ageing creams and serums. The Boots No7 Future Renew anti-ageing range was been fifteen years in the making, and proved overwhelmingly popular when it went on sale in high-street stores and online.
I tried everything in the Future Renew range when it first launched back in 2023. Here’s my full review:
As a woman in my early 30s, I’m at a prime time to make sure I’m using preventative measures to stop fine lines and wrinkles from appearing. Some areas of my skin are also dry – particularly around my nose and under my eyes – so I know straight away if a product which claims to hydrate really works or not.
For complete transparency, I’ve had filler in some areas of my face, but I’ve not yet started Botox, so I’m keen to find products which can help me prolong youthful skin for as long as possible. As I’ve only been using the products for a week, I’ve also included some reviews from the original blind panel in the piece, so as to give a more rounded take on the more long-term benefits of using the Boots No7 Future Renew anti-ageing range.
My favourite product in the Boots No7 Future Renew range is the No7 Future Renew Serum 50ml – which costs £47.95 for 50ml or £37.95 for 25ml. The No7 Future Renew Serum reverses visible signs of skin damage; fine lines and wrinkles, uneven tone and texture, dry skin and the feeling of lost firmness in 4 weeks.
It uses world-first peptide technology, Pepticology to support the skin’s natural self-repair. In a trial on 4,000 women, it was found that the serum worked after one week of use, and made skin tone and texture look more even, and the appearance of dryness was improved and fine lines appeared plumped.
The serum promises to give ‘instant results’ – a claim which I am always sceptical of – but it does exactly that. The No7 Future Renew Serum melted into my skin, and made it feel instantly soft and hydrated. It also gave my skin a beautiful glow, allowing me to go makeup free a little more confidently than usual.
A huge benefit I’ve found with the No7 Future Renew Serum is that you only need the tiniest bit. A small amount covered my entire face – which is promising in the middle of a cost of living crisis.
The No7 Future Renew Serum also made my skin so flawless, I’ve started to use it as a primer before applying my makeup. Because it smooths out my skin so much, my foundation goes over effortlessly, and I’ve noticed it lasts a lot longer, too.
With the No7 Future Renew Serum as a base under my foundation, I’ve noticed considerably less creasing and pores appearing later in the day. I’m impressed, that’s for sure.
One shopper, who was given the product to test a few weeks before its launch, said: “I have been using the new range for the past two weeks and my skin is looking fresher and brighter. My skin feels really hydrated and so soft. I have already seen a difference in the fine lines and wrinkles. Totally recommend.”
A second said: “I have been using this serum for 3 weeks so far and my skin definitely looks brighter and more even. It’s a lightweight serum and sinks into the skin quickly. Since I’ve been using it I’ve had compliments on how lovely my skin looks. So far so good, I’m loving it. Bring on the reversal!”
A third wrote: “The serum is so light and absorbs quickly. It leaves my skin feeling moisturised and looking plump. The texture of my skin has improved over the 10 weeks I’ve used it.”
But another said: “Love this product. Has really worked for me. Downside is the pump dispenser stopped working pretty quickly. Took it back to the store and it was replaced without argument. Second pump has done the same and dont feel U can take it b ack again. Foor this reason I can only give 3 stars.”
Another agreed: “The serum is good. Tbf I’m not sure if I am honest as I use the no.7 day cream and night cream. So I think all three work together. Never used it on its own. The packaging wasn’t good. The items came with boxes bent up. One had been ripped at the bottom so the serum was just in the bad. Poor packaging.”
Another product from the Boots Future Renew range I’ll be adding to my skincare routine, is the No7 Future Renew Day Cream SPF40 – which costs £37.95. The Day Cream contains SPF40 – a level of SPF which is hard to find in most moisturizing creams away from sun-specific products.
Raving about a high SPF level may sound daft when the weather is usually dreary and rainy in the UK, but honestly, it’s one of, if not the most important thing to be applying every day. I make sure I apply SPF daily to make sure I’m limiting any damage to my skin as much as possible – regardless of whether it’s blaring with sunshine outside, or snowing.
The sun’s UV is the No1 cause of accelerated skin aging and can lead to visible signs of skin damage, so finding a Day Cream which integrates SPF 40, I was over the moon.
The No7 Future Renew Day Cream uses an exclusive blend of peptides and also contains Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C and Niacinamide. This makes skin tighter and more hydrated.
I’ve started using this cream every morning, and I’ve already noticed a massive difference. After using it consistently for a week, I’ve found my skin to be a lot more hydrated – particularly around my eyes and nose, which I’ve already explained are massive problem areas for me.
The consistency is quite thick, but it melts into the skin quickly, and you can feel the effects for a lot longer than you do with some of the thinner creams available on the market. It leaves my skin feeling silky smooth, rather than greasy, and works brilliantly alongside the No7 Future Renew Serum.
Giving the No7 Future Renew Day Cream five stars on the Boots website, one shopper wrote: “Nourishing and hydrating moisturiser with added bonus of 40spf. After using this daily for about 10 weeks my skin texture has improved and is super soft. Age spots and lines seem reduced and my skin has a healthy glow.”
A second said: “This is an amazing day cream. The factor 40 saves me from applying a layer of sun cream and although it appears thick, this absorbs brilliantly, as well as having a mattifying quality. It is amazing with or without foundation. If you are a make up wearer, it sits on top perfectly. It’s also packed with great ingredients.”
A third said of the No7 Future Renew Day Cream: “This product is now my new No7 favourite. In the time I have been using this day cream, my skin has been rejuvenated and looks much healthier. It is easy to apply, non greasy and makes me feel pampered.”
Somebody else gave it three stars, writing: “It might work in terms of moisturising, etc, but it is too greasy, does not absorb well into skin.”
While I’ve been applying the No7 Future Renew Day Cream every morning, I’ve also been using the No7 Future Renew Night Cream 50ml – also £37.95 – just before bed.
The No7 Future Renew Night Cream promises to reverse visible signs of skin damage while you sleep, and softens, smooths, hydrates and brightens skin so you can wake up to skin that looks and feels refreshed. As with the other products, the No7 Future Renew Night Cream uses peptide technology to support the skin’s natural self-repair.
I put the No7 Future Renew Night Cream on just before bed, and I can really feel its hydrating properties when I wake up in the morning. Waking up with skin that already feels soft and hydrated makes a huge change to my mood, and I’ve found that it makes my skin so glowy, I don’t need much foundation, if any, when paired with the No7 Future Renew Day Cream.
It feels a little lighter than the No7 Future Renew Day Cream due to the fact it doesn’t contain any SPF. And it’s not even the slightest bit greasy – which I love.
As with the other products, the No7 Future Renew Night Cream has had glowing five-star reviews on the Boots website. One person said: “Rich nourishing night cream. I blind tested this as part of Boots review panel alongside the other products in the range. After 10 weeks my skin felt softer, more glowy and age spots and fine lines appeared reduced. The cream was nourishing and felt super comfortable on my skin.”
Another said: “I have been using this for a few months now and I can really see the difference it has made to my skin. Skin appears tighter, more youthful and generally healthier. What a turnaround. No7 have smashed it with this product.”
A third reviewer wrote of the No7 Future Renew Night Cream: “I have been using this cream with the day cream for over 3 weeks now . I find it very hydrating at night time, great feeling on your skin. I have noticed my skin being more plump and youthful looking. Great results in a short amount of time. Great quality cream. Worth a try for sure.”
But another said: “Disappointed in the smell of this product, I’m very particular about smells and checked the day cream which I was happy with. The night cream has a different smell , melon type, I really dislike this smell so have to add a drop of lavender. I wouldn’t have bought it if I had realised it had a different smell to,day cream. Love the feel of it though and great for my skin.”
The final product in the Boots No7 Future Renew range is the No7 Future Renew Eye Serum 15ml. This is the cheapest item in the range, priced at £27.95.
The powerful, lightweight serum has been expertly developed for the delicate skin around the eyes, and is clinically proven to reverse visible signs of skin damage around the eyes. The skin around the eyes is thinner and more delicate than elsewhere on the face, meaning it is more susceptible to damage, such as the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, a loss of firmness and uneven skin tone and texture.
The skin goes through most of its repair process overnight, so I’ve been using this when I wake up and just before bed for the best results. I’ve found I only need a tiny bit of the No7 Future Renew Eye Serum to get results – another win in my book.
I (luckily) don’t have any fine lines around my eyes yet, so I can’t comment on its wrinkle-reducing properties on myself personally. However, what I have noticed, is that it pretty much instantly brightens the area around my eyes, and makes my face look more awake and lifted.
It’s a really lightweight serum which absorbs quickly. And for me, the results have been instant.
On the Boots website, people have commented on how it has helped to reduce fine lines and wrinkles around the eye area. one five-star reviewer said: “I have seen an improvement in fine lines around the eye area. A little goes a long way.” A second said: “Lovely eye serum, used morning and night over last 8 weeks and fine lines around eyes appear reduced. This is super nourishing around the eye area and melts into the skin.”
A third reviewer said: “As soon as I applied this eye cream, my eyes looked more radiant. After a few weeks, fine lines and wrinkles were reduced. My eyes definitely look brighter! Love this eye cream.” A fourth wrote: “A tiny amount is all you need of this super light eye serum to hydrate the thin, delicate skin around my eyes. I can see a difference after only 10 days. My eyes are my “problem” area and I hate heavy rich creams so this is perfect for me and I’ve started to see the fine lines softening already.”
Giving it three stars, somebody else said: “I’ve found the eye cream to be OK so far. On a positive note, it’s non-greasy and absorbs really easily. I’ve been using this for around 4 weeks and I have not noticed any real difference so far. There is a lot of positive feedback and hype around this product (hence the purchase) and I think sometimes expectations can be quite high. On that basis, I will persevere with it for a while and hopefully I will see more of an improvement over time. Otherwise, it will be back to my usual product that I normally use which seems to work better for my skin.”
