Quick overview:
It comes after the weeks have passed by since the reality star officially wrapped her journey with the hit dance show
Tasha Ghouri was left fighting tears and was seen ‘shaking’ as she offered an update on her next big move after Strictly Come Dancing.
The weeks have passed by since the reality star officially wrapped her journey with the hit dance show. As fans know, she made the final of the BBC One dance contest’s 2024 run with her professional dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec back in December.
Tasha and Aljaz later missed out on lifting the coveted Glitterball trophy to series champs, comedian Chris McCausland and pro dancer Dianne Buswell, but their dancing journey together on the dancefloor.
They were able to continue performing together after they both signed up to the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour 2025, which kicked off in January and ended in early February and which they went on to win having been chosen as the live audiences’ favourites at the most shows.
Now, Tasha is looking ahead to her own projects, with the next big one being the release of her next book. The 26-year-old who was born deaf and relies on a cochlear implant to hear – is focusing on the release of her book ‘ Your Superpower’ and hopes to instil “confidence” in others with the release.
She previously said of the book: “It’s a long process, but it’s really about having people out there, in other people to help them find their self confidence with their disability.
“So the book is really about, showing my experiences, to help others out there, and that’s what I really want to do. So it’s a really real – it cuts to the chase and no beating around the bush..”
Tasha has since taken to Instagram as she was sent her copy of the book and became emotional as she spoke about her nerves around its upcoming release on April 24.
Speaking to the camera as she pulled out the book from a package, she said: “This feel so surreal. Your Superpower is nearly launching… I’m shaking! It’s a memoir, it’s not an autobiography.
“There are different stages in this book, it’s about love, respect, growth, responsibility and determination. In each chapter I really delve deep into my experiences growing up with disability and how I overcame those hurdles and how I overcame these obstacles to get stronger and get brave and just to really embrace my differences.”
Tasha went on to explain that she’s involved other celebrities in the book with other disabilities to impart their advice and wisdom when it comes to overcoming their own struggles. Her parents have also shared their own thoughts from a parents’ perspective.
It really is such a beautiful book about finding your superpower and how to embrace that.
“It’s just about being unapologetically yourself, you are enough, you are special, you are unique and that is enough. That’s the whole purpose of this book…”
Tasha then became emotional and said as she wrapped up talking: “I’m going to stop talking because I’m getting emotional, I’m getting nervous, I’m getting scared to even share this. The link will be in my bio to pre-order Your Superpower, by me, and I hope you all love it. Bye!”
