Carlos Gu has told fans he’ll ‘see them soon’ after making an admission about suffering ‘tour blues’ after recently wrapping up his time on the road with friend and fellow dancer Amy Dowden.

The Strictly Come Dancing stars joined forces for their own headline tour, Reborn, and were seen wowing audiences up and down the country throughout March and early April.

Amy and Carlos also experienced a dream come true moment as performed on a West End stage as part of their tour, with their Strictly co-stars among those supporting them in the audience at London’s Adelphi Theatre.

After the show at the start of April, Amy shared a smiling picture of herself and Carlos wrapped in an embrace and the 35-year-old said: “These are the faces of two happy friends who performed their show on a west end stage last night to the most fabulous, busy and supportive audience with the most talented cast!

“The love and support we’ve received has just been over whelming and I can’t thank you all enough. Last night was a special night which will stay in my heart forever! AMY IS BACK! Forever grateful #reborn #whatanight #dreamscometrue.”

Now, a couple of weeks on from their final show, Carlos has reflected on his time performing alongside Amy in their very first show together.

Alongside pictures of the pair in action as well as alongside the Reborn cast, the dancer said: “My Tour blues has lasted longer than I ever imagined. I’ve said so many times it’s been a dream come true for both Amy and myself and our heart was filled with full of love!

“This tour was more than just a dance show; it was a deeply personal story that we rarely shared publicly. We’ve been incredibly fortunate to express our feelings through movement, music, passion, and love.”

Carlos continued: “To @amy_dowden, Words can’t fully capture how proud I am of you. You are truly THE strongest woman I’ve ever known. Watching you shine on that stage and seeing the passion in your eyes when you dance has been so emotional for me . You’ve inspired me in countless ways. “To Beth Honan, our Creative Director: This “Reborn” tour wouldn’t have been possible without you. I vividly remember telling you that you were the only person we wanted for this journey. Thank you for bringing our dream to life and for creating a show we’ve cherished every second of. I hope we’ve made you proud. “To our production team @fieryangelentertainment,to @mr_njonesofficial Neil for your incredible creation, our agents , and our incredible cast and crew: I’ll forever treasure the time we shared. It was unforgettable and truly special. As we always say, “Dream big, because it might come true.”

Carlos then rounded off by adding: “To those of you who came and supported us, it means the world ! See You Soon!” Amy was soon responding to the post as she wrote in the comments section: “My heart is so full from reborn!

“What an experience, what a show, incredible audiences, memories to cherish and most importantly what it did for our souls! Thank you my GU! I would do it over and over again.”

And the messages of love and support from fans also quickly came flooding in. @lchrisx2 said: “Your show was absolutely beautiful, emotional and enchanting.. also exciting and energetic….. Thank you!”
