Here’s what you need to know:
BBC Breakfast’s Ben Boulos was back on Sunday to present alongside Luxmy Gopal.
BBC Breakfast’s Ben Boulos issued an apology to weather presenter Louise Lear after questioning her optimism for the weather forecast over the Easter break.
Louise had optimistically advised viewers that despite a significant chance of rain, stating, “It’s not going to be a washout,” which caught both Ben and his co-presenter Luxmy Gopal by surprise.
Ben teased her during the broadcast, remarking: “You say it won’t be a washout, but I can see lots of drops of rain [on the chart beside her] there, Louise. Thanks for the update we’ll see you a little later.”
Louise playfully retorted as she aimed to stay upbeat, prompting him to quickly apologise: “Sorry, Sorry,” followed by a playful quip: “I’m raining on your parade, as it were.”

Ben then wrapped up the segment saying: “We’ll see you a little later, Louise. Thank you,” reports the Express.
Despite Louise’s weather prediction being challenged on-air, the mood remained cheery when they returned to discuss further updates later in the show.
When Ben checked in again, asking, “Louise, what’s happening with the weather? Save us.” She cheerfully recounted: “Well yesterday was the warmest weather of the year, I hope you managed to get out and enjoy it and the beautiful blossom.”
She cautioned: “Over the next few days, the winds are going to strengthen, so that’ll probably blow some of that blossom off of the trees, and it will get much fresher.”
Louise informed viewers: “As we go through the week, we are looking at around 16 degrees and a case of showers or longer spells of rain.”
This weather update is a stark contrast for Brits enjoying the sunshine, with temperatures reaching up to 24C. However, an Arctic blast is expected to cause temperatures to drop significantly in some parts of the UK.
According to Louise and the MET Office, it’s too early to pack away the winter coats. More mild conditions are anticipated, including cloud cover, patchy rain, nationwide showers, and much cooler temperatures spreading across the country.
Despite the recent “mini-heatwave”, the UK’s all-time April weather record of 29.4C, set on April 16, 1949, remains unbeaten.
BBC Breakfast airs every day on BBC One from 6am.
